Just... amen.
Please feel free to sit in on one of my classes if you ever can and if I ever teach. XD I trust your crit.
Honestly, I think if someone's got a PhD, they can handle the class the way they want. HOWEVER. Students ARE paying to take that class. I hate when teachers in COLLEGE baby their students like that. It's so pointless. Why waste time picking on a student after you've busted your ass to get a fucking doctorate? If that student fails, so be it.
In Elf, the movie, Buddy (the elf-raised human) is in a mailroom and basically they're having a party, dancing on tables, havin' a good time, etc. And you know what my dad said when he saw that? He said "If I walked in on my employees doing that, and they had done their jobs, I wouldn't mind. Breaks like that are good for morale." It shows that, while the supervisor (teacher or boss) DOES want the work to be done, once the work is done, they trust and care for their workers enough to let them relax. It's a note of respect and implication of trust that's crucial for stuff like
( ... )
D'aww. Well, I have a loooot to learn. D8 And you'd be great moral support. And you'd probably scare the students into silence. They'd be like "OMIGOD WHO IS THAT LADY IN THE BACK AND WHY IS SHE WATCHING US? WE'D BETTER STFU." You could add to the effect by wearing something that looks 'official'. >_>
