Farewell, Nostalgia Critic.

Sep 15, 2012 18:11

Well, it happened. Doug Walker has officially retired his Nostalgia Critic character. I suppose we all knew it was coming eventually, though I doubt any of us knew it would happen so... epically. Seriously, go watch To Boldly Flee. That ending almost made me get teary eyed.

Am I sad? Me and the entire rest of the internet, I'd imagine. And yet at the same time, I'm sort of happy for Doug. He's had a great run doing the whole Nostalgia Critic thing, and I'm glad he decided to go out with a bang instead of jumping the shark into obscurity. I don't know what he plans on doing now, but I wish him luck in whatever it is.

So, LJ f-list, what was your favorite thing The Nostalgia Critic remembered so you didn't have to?

P.S. There may or may not be fanfic written for crossovers100 forthcoming that features the Nostalgia Critic from Kickassia onwards, but is not centered on him. Also, it ties in to that huge mega-crossover I've been not working on for forever.

fanfic news, epic win, change, emotional
