Follow-up to the previous post
So, yeah. LiveJournal has pretty much made it known to the world at large that they don't plan to focus on keeping the current "small-but-loyal memberbase" and focus on making new shinies in hopes of attracting new U.S. users.
My response to this notice, to being told in not so many words that my input and loyalty to this site means Jack, was to cancel my autorenewal for my paid service, knock down my tracking to the minimum I can right now, and remove all but 6 icons as I'm going to drop straight to a basic account once my paid time ends in June. I'm over on DreamWidth, same username as here, if anyone wishes to follow me there. I'll be keeping katsukofic going over here for a while yet, at least until I get pissed enough to export it over to DW as well, but it's already been dropped back to a basic account.
And that's pretty much done LJ for me. I'll still follow some comms and memes here, but for the most part everything aside from this post and the previous one is going to be crossposted from my Dreamy home. I will miss my tags, but I'm sure I'll get them going over there eventually.
