Day 26: A pairing that you hated and ended up loving.
Since most of the pairings I like I started out liking, I think I'm gonna go with one that I was mildly "meh" about in the beginning for today:
Please bear in mind that I started out on the Dub of Outlaw Star, which wasn't as bad as a lot of dubs tend to be. And so far as the interaction between Gene Starwind and Harry McDougall went, I was mildly ambivalent about their potential as a couple even when I stumbled across fics featuring them as such.
However, I decided to start watching it subtitled shortly after finishing the series... and holy gods somehow the exact same interaction became layered in double entendre and innuendo. So yeah. I ship them like crazy and need to sit and rewatch the series again. There's an unfinished epic I started forever ago that I kind of want to finish now...
