Just remembered...
Vote5.net is a Japanese website for popularity polls. In the voice actors/anime song (声優・アニソン) category a few years ago, someone made a poll asking which character that Katsuki performed is liked [to you]? (勝生真沙子の演じるキャラで好きなのは？ katsuki masako no enjiru kyara de suki nanoha)
It had just reached over one-hundred hits but it took quite a while, while other polls receive a ton of attention.
So disadvantages:
- many of these polls get "vote spamming" (like by a single person) so that one result or two gets the bump in the polls.
- Because there aren't many votes, there are ties.
- Of course, opinion on who should be in the poll or who should be high in ranking will vary.
