well damn
so i was reminded that this thing still existed today, by some smelly(pretty) girl from Albania(Franklin,TN).
man.....so i spent the last week in Tennessee. i originally signed up for a week of light-hearted frollicking of sorts and some crucial bro-down action. i found myself at a vegan potluck on sunday evening with a few kiddos i didnt know, almost all of which had some subtle tension with atleast one other human there. i felt like an awkward guest character on a reality tv show. all was well though. i had a really nice time for the most part, except for a suicide VIA rifle-in-mouth in the middle of the week. that sucked. but i got to hang UBER tough with danger davey, rachel, eric, isamar, suffocaitlin, and a few others, all of which were quite splendid. many many cigarettes, a few sleepless nights(i guess just one big one), lots of finger-picking, too much chuck norris(as if thats possible). i feel like i have gained a glimpse of something, i just dont know what it is yet. needless to say, my heart was won by the hills and trees. *FUCK! i missed converge in nashville! the only metalish-hardcore band i REALLLLY want to see that hasnt broken up yet. they never come to OK. oh well.*
i am now home. i find myself in the same situation i was in before i left, which of course was to be expected. i had a nice break. im confused about my existence as of late. i dont feel cursed. its not the same self-centered victimization that i was prone to in my early years of adolescence. whatever position i am in, i put myself there. DAMEZUMARI i guess. hah! im glad i can finally use that damn word with some relevance. whatev! ill work my shit out.
speaking of damezumari, the damezumari/someplace to hide split cd is coming along! they are recording with chris harris at bell labs on saturday so i'm gonna go down there to hang out and possibly book the recording date for someplace to hide. i like our new songs quite a bit. and im wayyyy excited about the new dame stuff. meet me at the mammoth is currently in limbo due to casey being stuck in north carolina until the van is fixed. but he will return at the end of the month, and we can continue to make girls legs weak. ahr har. that band is just too fun/jawesome/yes.
