OMG: Oh My Genie! (Chapter 8/?)

Author's note: Sorry for the long wait. Some of you may know already why I was gone for almost 2 weeks. It's because I'm busy organizing and preparing my college admission requirements. I went from place to place so I don't have much time to update. Gomen ne! :(
I kind of "trained" myself more in writing. I noticed that I'm using too much dialogue so I changed that.

Rei froze like an ice. The prince of her life has appeared in front of her. But of all places and times, why here and now? Why did he hear what her servant had just ranted? These thoughts tortured her simple yet imaginative mind. She felt like she was striked by a lightning the moment he talked. She opened her mouth to say something but she hesitated at the last second. She's not even sure if the man still remembers her. She wants to walk far away from them. She's too embarassed and dumbfounded. Will he misunderstand what Aiba had said? He said the word "Master", what would Kazuya think about that? Rei palmed her face. She can't do anything at this moment. She wants to cry too... just thinking that Kazuya won't approach her anymore after this.
"Rei, what's wrong?" Aiba asked, just beside the worrisome girl. He noticed that the girl was too shocked. She didn't give any response to his question so he tried to shake the lifeless girl. He exchanged gazes with the other man in front of them. The man blinked many times.
"You're.... the new student?" he asserted. Aiba is popular right now afterall. Everyone in the school knows about him right now.
"Yes. My name is Aiba Masaki. Nice to meet you Ichinose-san." Aiba answered and replied. He had completely forgotten about the girl beside her. "I don't really mind you hearing what I just said... but I find it kinda embarrassing." he said shyly. He's not aware that the girl beside her is in rage right now. Well, he has no idea about her liking Kazuya at all.
"Is that.... a confession? If it is, I'm really sorry to bother the two of you." Kazuya pleaded again and again. Rei is just standing there, looking below the ground. Kazuya noticed the girl as he approached her. " You're... Shirayuki right?" he recognized the girl.
"Rei? You're acting weird... what's wrong?" Aiba asked, trying to comprehend her unusual behavior. She's very different from what she was just a minute ago.
Meanwhile, Mia and Chisa are already preparing their bento lunches. The two girls noticed that the other two are taking too much time just to arrive. Chisa started to open her bento when Mia stopped her. "They're not here yet. Just wait there." she muttered. Chisa pouted her lips. She can already feel her stomach, growling.
"But Mia, I'm hungry already!" she debated even though she knows that Mia won't let her eat no matter what happens. She's really scary. Chisa loves everything scary except her scary friend.
"Chisa, they'll be coming here already. Wait patiently for a while." Mia tried to calm her down. She made a resolve... that they'll eat with Rei together. She has so much things she need to tell her. There are some serious stuff that they need to talk about. After Chisa has calmed down, few minutes have passed. They're still waiting for the other two.
They've been taking a VERY long time just to get here. "Mou~! Mia, let's eat already!" Chisa had it enough. She can't wait any longer.
"Just wait for them!" Mia pleaded. Her own stomach is already growling but for the sake of friendship, she won't eat unless they're complete.
"Your stomach growled for the 4th time already. You can't wait any longer too, right?" Chisa stated the obvious. Mia can't deny the truth so she thought that she'll just need to look for them.
"Let's look for them." In the end they decided to look for the other two.
They left their bento lunches as they exited the rooftop. They haven't gone far yet but they already found them. Chisa tried to call them but Mia instantly stopped her. She closed her mouth shut as she intently watched the three just below them. Ichinose Kazuya... that guy...
"Shirayuki-san, don't worry. I'll keep it a secret." Rei shuddered the moment Kazuya said that. She didn't think that she will be misunderstood. What's worse is that the one who misunderstood her is the person she loves. "Once again, sorry for bothering the two of you. Nice meeting you again, Aiba-san." he said briefly.
"Yeah. Nice meeting you too. You're a nice guy." Aiba gladly replied. He's so dense that he still doesn't understand the real situation.
"Yo! Kazuya!" Chisa startled the group. She casually approached the three. Mia was dumbfounded from what Chisa did. She already shut her mouth but she still went onward. "Kazuya, It's been a while. What's up? I haven't seen you these past few days..." she asked as she approached the man very closely.
"Ah. Kawada-san. You're as energetic as ever." The tension among the group completely vanished when Chisa came. The situation went complicated. "I was chosen to represent our school in the tennis competition that's why I was gone from school for almost a week." he added briefly. He took a step backward when Chisa almost bite him. Not literally but that's what he felt. He felt like Chisa is some carnivorous predator who found it's prey.
"Ne, Kazuya, do you know that Rei likes y--" She was stopped when Mia strangled her out of nowhere. Mia was so fired up that she wants to shut her noisy mouth permanently.
"Kazuya-kun! Long time no see. Don't mind Chisa, she's just very noisy." Mia mused. She pulled Chisa with her as she whispered to her. "Are you an idiot!? What are you trying to say to him? Can't you see that there's something going on between them now!?" she asked her many questions, trying to be as silent as she can.
"Something is happening? That doesn't look like that to me though..." Chisa replied, completely unaware of what's going on. She received a smack from Mia as she tried to debate. "Mia! I'm h-u-n-g-r-y! Do you understand!"
"Kawada-san, Takanori, Aiba-san, I'll be going now. I still have classes to attend." Kazuya announced as he started to walk away from them. But he paused for a moment as he leaned over to Rei. "Shirayuki, don't get mad. Ne~" he admonished right through her face while smiling. He then continued to leave the group. Rei couldn't stand it and blushed tremendously. He was so close to her for a moment. For a moment too, her heart pounded like crazy. In fact, she had completely forgotten about how she was misunderstood.
"Rei, you're okay now?" Aiba asserted while waving his hand in front of her. Finally, Rei snapped and turned to face the tall man beside him. "Rei?" Aiba was confused. She's glaring at her while gripping her hands too tightly.
"Baka!!!" Rei exploded. She shouted it in one go. She ignored him as she invited the two girls onto the rooftop.
I don't get it... Why is she so mad at me!? Aiba had no choice but to follow them quietly.
They have no idea that some eyes are watching them. A woman hidden behind the stairs, smirking and enjoying what she's seeing.
Kazuya on the other hand met her while going down. He stared at her intently as the woman avoided his gaze and left him without saying anything. Hmmm... I'm sure she's watching us all the time... He just ignored it as he headed back to his class. "Shirayuki. Long time no see." He mumbled, inaudible to anyone but himself.

Finally, Chisa got the chance to eat her precious bento. She ate it all in one go as she tried to stole some on Mia's bento. The gathering became a war all of a sudden. Mia avoided all her attacks as Rei watched them silently. She can't help but laugh at her friends' act. Mia and Chisa smiled deep in their heart unknown to Rei. They really missed each other, especially Mia. No one else is around so Mia took this chance to talk to Rei about something.
"Rei. There's so much things I need to tell you." She started it as she softened her voice intently. She tried to be quiet as much as possible. She has a feeling that someone will be eavesdropping them. She's already used to it. The school is known for it's sorority afterall.
"Wait Mia, Are you okay if we let this man stay here?" Rei replied and asked. She's pertaining to Aiba who's sitting far away from the three, isolated. She kept on ignoring him since he had ranted so much unnecessary things.
She's still mad at me... Just what in the world did I do? He pouted silently as he looked at the three. He has no bento and his stomach is already growling. All I did was just expressing my true feelings to her... He intently looked at them while wondering why she's ignoring him.
"Ne Rei, why are you ignoring him?" Mia asked. She's a little bit worried about Aiba too. "Why don't you tell him to go here?" she suggested while looking at the lonely man.
"Why would I? He's just an idiot after all..." she said it but deep inside, she's a little bit guilty too. But that won't change the fact that because of him, Kazuya misunderstood her.
"He's your cousin right?" Mia stated. Rei thought about it for a second. She remembered telling them that he's her cousin. Because her friend said so, she finally agreed. She stood up and approached the man sitting far away from them. Mia turned to face her other friend. "C-C-Chisa!! You ate my bento!" she shrieked after seeing her friend, munching and crunching all of her bento. She just put it down for a minute to talk to Rei but Chisa took it as a chance to eat it. She wants to strangle her so badly right now.
"Masaki..." she shyly mumbled. Aiba stared at her intently. He started to wonder if the girl is still mad at him. "Y-You're h-hungry right?" she asserted shyly. She avoided his gaze as she handed over her bento to him. Aiba gladly took it as he pulled her down beside him. Rei blushed for a moment but she shuddered and stood up back. "I-I'm just doing this b-b-because you're my c-cousin... get it?!" she exploded again. Her embarrassment was obvious but she tried hard to hide it. "So after this, make sure to tell Kazuya-kun that you're just my cousin!" those words went out of her mouth unconciously. It supposed to be audible just inside her mind but she still said it making it audible to all. She palmed her mouth after that.
Eh? What does she mean? What's the need to tell Ichinose-san that I'm her cousin? By the way, until when did we become cousins!? Aiba thought. He waited for her another response as he just stayed there quietly.
"Uhmmm... N-Nevermind. Just eat all of it okay." She said at last. She left him as she went back to the other two. Why did I say that!? I'm such an idiot! She thought.
"Oh. Why didn't you just call him to go here?" Mia muttered the moment Rei went back. Chisa has an apologetic face right now. She received Mia's rage earlier afterall.
She simply replied with three words. "Let him be." she's still mad at him and she doesn't want him to interfere with their talk. "Mia, you said that you have something to tell me. What is it?" she asked remembring what they talked about minutes ago.
"Yeah, about that, I--" she was forced to stop when some girl suddenly appeared in front of them.
"Shirayuki-san, remember me?" the girl was Sayuri... Awasaki Sayuri. She appeared in front of them as she called out Rei. Her smile made Mia suspicious. She also realized that she's a new face that she hasn’t seen before.
"Awasaki-san! Why are you here? Need something from me?" Rei stood up excitedly. She's quite glad that she appeared. She's the one who saved her from Erika's persuasion afterall.
"Nope. I just wanted to chat with you. You're my friend after all." she responded with a grin. Mia became more suspicious of her. She's Rei's friend? Mia can't believe it. The sorority had ranted about doing something bad to the people who approach Rei. Why would she approach Rei and worst is... becoming her friend. Mia thought something was fishy about her. "Oh. Shirayuki-san, do you mind if you introduce me to them?"
"Oh.. I nearly forgot. Awasaki-san, they are my best friends, Takanori Mia and Kawada Chisa." she responded. Chisa waved back at the girl while Mia stayed ignorant. Rei decided to introduce Sayuri next. "Mia, Chisa, this is Awasaki Sayuri. She saved me one time."
She saved her?? Now, I'm really getting suspicious here... It's impossible that she has no secret motive at all... Mia thought. She has some reason why she's suspecting her. In fact, it's connected to the thing she needed to tell Rei.
"Takanori-san, is there something on my face?" Sayuri asked because Mia was staring at her. Mia snapped out of her thoughts as she stood up.
"Rei, we'll be going back to class. Let's just talk after school." she informed as she forcefully pulled Chisa with her. Chisa tried to fight back but she noticed Mia's serious expression so she decided to obediently follow her.
"They're.... gone now..." Sayuri mumbled. She hid a grin on her face as she approached Rei. "Come on Rei, let's just chat together." she invited her but Rei was just ignoring her. Rei was wondering why they left. Meanwhile, Aiba silently watched Sayuri's steps. Sayuri looked at the man and smiled. "You're Aiba Masaki right?" she asserted.
Aiba didn't give any response. He's also suspicious about her smile. "Ne, why are you forcing your smile?" he asked this because he can see that Sayuri is just acting. She paused for a moment as she leaned over to him.
"You're... so handsome." she replied, completely unrelated to what he asked. Rei noticed that the two were already talking the moment she snapped out of her thoughts. She felt something might go wrong if Aiba talked to her so she quickly pulled Sayuri away from him.
"Masaki, don't ever do something to her." she muttered. Aiba pouted as he stood up. He's done eating too afterall.
"Rei, you're friend's kinda weird." he asserted. He's wondering why she replied with a completely unrelated sentence.
"I'm weird? You're the weird one." she giggled. She exchanged gazes with the man. Aiba is trying to read her but it's too hard.
The school bell rang. Sayuri bid her farewell to the two and went back to her own class. A suspicious grin is hidden behind her smile. When she left, the two were all alone now. The atmosphere between the two became tense.
"Rei, let's go back to class." Aiba initiated the conversation. He's still wondering if she's mad at him. Rei turned on her back as she replied.
"Don't talk to me." Four simple words yet hurtful. Rei exited the rooftop leaving Aiba behind. He stood by himself, stiff as a rock. He tried to comprehend what Rei said.
He lost his confidence all of a sudden. Those words really hurt him. He needs to go back to his class but his feet won't let him. His strength became nothing.

Class has ended and Aiba didn't go back since lunch break. Some went home already; some are still hanging out in the school. Rei was slightly worried. She didn't mean to say that. She even regrets saying that. She's too guilty so she decided to look for him.
"Rei! Where are you going? There's something I want to tell you." Mia tried to stop her. The stuff she wants to tell her looks really important. Rei hesitated. If she doesn't start looking for Aiba, he may go home already. She wanted to at least apologize for what she said.
"Mia, I need to find Masaki. Just tell me tomorrow, okay?" she said at last. She had decided to look for him at the end. Mia understood her intentions so she agreed on telling her just for tomorrow. Rei bid her goodbye as she started looking for Aiba.
From the rooftop to the cafeterias. She looked at all the places. Why did I say that in the first place?... I bet he's angry at me right now... she thought.
She looked inside the school but she never saw any traces of him so she decided to go outside. When she decided to look around the side corridors, she finally saw him. She tried to approach him but she stopped when she noticed that someone is with him.
"Aiba-kun, you agreed to hang out with me right? You can't break your promise!" Akane asserted, sticking close to the man. Rei became irritated for some reason, seeing them like that.
What are they doing in this kind of place!? T-t-this is lewd!!! she thought. She can't quite hear them as she went a little more closer, enough to hear their conversation. Wait a minute, why am I hiding?
"Sorry but I really need to go home now." Aiba pleaded many times already but Akane is persistent on inviting him. He also tried to puul away from the girl but she was holding onto him very tightly. When he put some force on it, Akane almost flew when Aiba pulled away.
"Aiba-kun, why?" she asked with a seducing voice. Aiba just grinned at her as he started to say something.
"You know.. I--" he was stopped. Rei palmed her mouth from what she saw. Akane forced her lips onto the man. Aiba's mind went blank. He didn't think this would happen. The kiss was absolutely different from Rei's kisses. He forcefully pulled Akane's face away from him as he stepped back. "Mizuki-san.... why did you do that?"
"Aiba-kun, I want you!" she said with pride. Even how lustful it sounds, she didn't care. She forced her lips against his again but Aiba just pushed her everytime she do so. "Why!? Why don't you want me!? I'm beautiful, and damn hot!" she proudly muttered.
"Stop this Mizuki-san. It's not delightful to act like this. You're a girl." he tried to resist.
"What the hell!? If you don't want me, then just say so!" she muttered. She fixed herself as she glared at him.
"You're a beautiful girl Mizuki-san... but there is already someone in my heart. No other woman can replace her. She's always bullied and she's sometimes stubborn but... I'll be always there to protect her." Aiba said at last. Rei heard it very clearly. Her heart thumped so fast, not knowing why.
Why am I blushing!? I'm not even sure if I'm the one he's talking about!... she thought, still hiding. She stared at the man until the end.
"All the boys want me Aiba-kun... you're the only one who treated me like this, you'll pay for this." she hissed, turning on her back. She left the man without a word.
Aiba sighed as he wiped the kiss marks on his lips. He thought that it was disgusting. Very different from what he felt when he kissed Rei.
He paused when a familiar girl approached him. His heart beat so fast. By the sight of the one he loves, he easily became flustered. "Rei..." he mumbled.
"Sorry." Rei admonished. She looked at the man with endearing eyes. The effect of what he said earlier is still there. She can't help but smile for him. "Sorry for saying those harsh words."
Aiba smiled back. He put his hand on her head and patted it very gently. "Ba~ka!" He jokingly mused. It's the first time he called her like that.
Rei always felt some warm sensation whenever she talks to him. The way he called her like that... she's kinda happy.
