Summary: Ohno Satoshi and Katsuragi Makie are forced to marry each other. But Makie will do anything for the marriage to be cancelled. Namase Aki will be part of Makie's plan. What would be their FATE?....

Aki is on her way home, watching the city lights from inside the cab. Nighttime came so fast that she needed to bid her goodbye to her boyfriend. They're real lovers now. From the bottom of her heart, this is the first time she felt that being Ohno's girlfriend is actually real. Mayu was right, she needs to change her way for the sake of her love. Doing nothing will of course lead to nothing. She realized all of this after asking him on a date.
For some reason, the cab is moving too slow. Because of this, couples who're hand-in-hand can be clearly seen from the inside. Christmas day is approaching, only one week from now on.
Her cheeks became red from imagining too much. The sight of them, hand-in-hand. Various images popped in and out of her imaginative mind which made her more flustered than how she already was. Her phone started ringing so she picked it up immediately.
"Namase, Can we meet now?" Makie's weak voice came from the other line. Aki was worried about that. The old Makie was gone, it looks like she became frailer and weaker. "Sorry to bother you but I'll be leaving Japan tomorrow and I want to at least talk to you before I leave." she added briefly.
"I'll be there soon." Aki gave an immediate reply and hang up the phone not long after that. Aki told the driver to drive for another destination as she started to wonder why Makie wants to talk to her.
When she arrived at their mansion, shivers overwhelmed her own being. For some reason, there's no sign of happiness anywhere in the mansion. It's cold outside that's why Aki went inside as quick as she can. Makie is sitting in the living room when a maid approached and told her that Aki has arrived.
"Good evening, Katsuragi-san." Aki greeted her the moment she came inside. Makie replied back and offered her to sit too. Aki felt as if Makie has changed for some reason.
"Namase, let's drink all night." Makie initiated. Aki didn't know what to answer but in the end, she agreed.
Hours have passed, Aki is still sober while Makie is not. Suddenly, Makie started to rant all about what she felt. "Namase....me and Ohno....will be marrying each other next week." Aki froze the moment she heard what she said. She can't even tell if it's a joke or not. She intently listened to what she's saying as she stayed silent during the whole scenario. "But don't worry... that's why I'm going to America. I will absolutely assure you that the marriage will be canceled so no need to worry..." she paused for a second then continued again. "Namase... do you know that you and Ohno are of the same species??"
"Same species?" Aki asked in confusion. Makie smirked back at her as she lay down on the couch.
"You two are almost the same.... in every aspect.... let it be Arts, personality, and height... even the way you think is the same as him too." the tone of her voice started to change. She sounds very drunk earlier but she turned to be quite serious now. "I don't think you two are compatible. From what I heard too, you two haven't gone to any date yet. Don't you think that's kind of ridiculous?"
Aki swallowed hard and started to be serious too. She wants to tell her that they will be going on a date tomorrow but she can't. There's something stopping her from saying it. "Katsuragi-san, I... I love Ohno-kun." she mused. "For me... a date is not that necessary for couples to do. As long as there is love..." Ohno-kun hasn't told me about their upcoming marriage...
Makie grinned a little at her reply. "If it's Ohno, I'm sure that his answer would be like that too."
"Katsuragi-san, What are you planning to do?" Aki asked. Makie stood up from where she was lying earlier and seated beside Aki. She held her hands as a sign of assurance and protection.
"Namase... you've been a loyal and kind assistant to me even though I just treated you like a trash." Aki tried to respond on what she had just said but Makie stopped her. "Listen to me, okay?" she pleaded then continued. "If you love him, then fight for him. His grandmother would absolutely do anything just to break the two of you. What would you do if that happens??" Aki hasn't realized it yet but the fact that she is just a commoner will be the biggest hole in their relationship. His grandmother's wickedness won't let the two of them. Aki just shook her head in response. "I say that Ohno's grandmother is very weird..." Makie mumbled, scratching her head a little. "She's aware that my father is in prison right now.... yet she still wants us to marry each other?? Won't it just affect her reputation??"
Aki doesn't seem to mind what she's saying right now... the one thing that is torturing her mind right now is the fact that their future is too vague. Makie noticed the worried look on her face as she tried to reassure her once again.
"I'll do all the things I can do to help the two of you." Well... that depends on Ohno though... her thoughts are in contrast to what she's saying. She shuddered unconsciously. Why is she helping the two of them? What benefit will she get? She can't believe that she had really changed. "Anyway, my advice is that you two keep it slowly. Don't let Madam Ohno know that you two are a couple. I don't know what she's going to do to you if that happens so please... your relationship... keep it a secret for now." she gripped her hand a little bit. "I'll do what I can do." she smiled at the end. This is the best choice... nothing good will happen if Madam Ohno interferes... and before that too... I also need to take care of my wicked mother... I need to beat some sense out of her.
"Arigatou... Katsuragi-san."Aki replied. She felt like her boss is encouraging her. "When will you leave tomorrow?... and when will you come back?" she asked.
"It's early in the morning." she answered briefly. "About going back here... I still don't know. I think I'll be back after I got to fix all the things ans issues about my family." she added briefly. "Uwa! It's already this late... I need to get ready already for tomorrow..." she mumbled after looking at the time. "Namase, you can go home now."
Aki nodded as she stood up. "Then, I'll be leaving now." She also need to sleep early because she has a date tomorrow after all.
"Sorry for taking your precious time ne~" she grinned. She'll miss her personal assistant. She knows that from the bottom of her heart. She really became soft.
"No. It's my pleasure." An immediate answer from Aki. "Please take care of yourself." She won't see her for some time after all.
"Nah~ you know me. Of course I'll take care of myself." she grinned again. She proudly boasted about how strong she is. Aki understood her easily.
"As expected, Katsuragi-san."Aki bowed as she mused her last word. "Oyasuminasai."
"Oyasumi~!" Makie responded at last. It's a farewell between a master-servant.

It took around an hour for Aki to arrive at her apartment. It's already 12 in the midnight and all the people residing in the apartment are already asleep. At least, Aki thought that no one is awake at that time. The moment she opened the door, Mayu is busy watching something on her laptop. Aki sighed.
"Oh! Aki, it's already this late... where did you go???" Mayu asked, More irritated than worried. She's irritated because she's waited so long just to know what happened to her and Ohno. "Now, you need to tell me EVERYTHING you and Ohno Satoshi did today." she muttered in a loud voice, not minding the other people who're already asleep.
"Okay, fine. Don't be so loud. I haven't even took off my shoes..." she replied. She took off her shoes as she went onto their bed. "Don't tell me that you've been waiting for me?"
"Yeah... well not really... I've been too addicted to this guy these days..." she replied, not looking at her but instead looking at her laptop.
"That again? You've been so crazy about that. What's so good with him?" she mused, trying to alter the topic. I wish I could escape this...
"You're asking me what's so GOOD about him!?!?" she replied. It's obvious that she's shocked but a little bit of excitement can be seen on her face. "He's smart, good-looking, cool and hot!" she muttered in a loud voice, again not minding even if there still people who're already asleep.
"What's his name again?" Aki asked, still hoping Mayu won't notice that she's altering the real topic.
"Well, his name is Sa--" Mayu didn't finish her sentence as she turned her laptop off. She immediately approached Aki, joining her on the bed. "Ah! Don't think you can change the real topic. Now, tell me." she smirked.
Aki shuddered for a second. She has no choice but to tell a story now. "Thanks to you, I've got to see his apartment for the first time." she immediately mused.
"Then? Come on, don't make me wait!" Mayu responded, trying hard to hide her amusement.
"Wait a minute, why are you so excited?" Aki asked just in case there's some reason.
"This is interesting! Is it a masochist vs. masochist battle?" she answered and asked the same time.
"What the heck are you talking about!!!" Aki exploded like a bomb. She shouted so loud that someone will wake up around the neighbor.
"Hey! People are trying to sleep here!! At least let us sleep if you two don't want to sleep! Hmph! Youth these days are so loud...." someone around the neighbor shouted, leaving the two dumbfounded and embarrassed.
"Yabai... I was scolded." Aki whispered to herself, teary-eyed.
"Gomen. I kind of blurted that out impulsively." Mayu whispered, now trying to stay quiet as much as she can. "Now, say it already... did something happen or what?" she asked, not giving up on asking.
"Nothing happened. Just what are you thinking anyway?" she muttered, getting sleepy already.
Mayu scratched her head in disappointment. "Gosh...Aki, then what's the point of setting the two of you up?" she sighed.
"Well... that's...you know.... Uhmmm... he..." she can't seem to find the right words.
"What are you trying to say?" Mayu asked, not sure whether she's still interested or sleepy.
"He... agreed to... have a date with me... tomorrow." she blushed to the extent that she wants to hide her face.
"That's good then! Want some tips? some suggestions from me?" she said and asked the same time. This time, her amusement leveled up.
"No thanks. What I need right now is some sleep." she replied, closing her eyes as she started to sleep.
"Mou~ the fun is just getting started.... well, I'm sleepy too. I think I'll going to sleep too." she mumbled as she nudged herself beside her.
The two exchanged their "Oyasumi~" and started to drift into slumber.
"Ah! I forgot!" Mayu suddenly shrieked as she jolted up from her bed.
"What is it? You scared me." she replied, kind of irritated when her rest was suddenly interrupted.
"That guy came again!" she muttered.
"You're talking about Minamura-san?" Aki asserted. He's the only person who keeps bothering her these last few months.
"Yeah. He came to talk to you again." Mayu stated.
"What did he told you?" Aki asked. Her best friend still doesn't know about how she's being scouted as a model, and she has no intention to tell her this.
"Well... you said that I shouldn't let him in if ever he comes... and I should never talk to him... so I closed the door the moment he said his name."
"I see. Thanks." Aki sighed in relief. At least, the man didn't rant something.
"Who is that man anyway? What does he need from you?" Mayu asked in curiosity.
"Well... he's just someone who's... troublesome and persistent." Aki tried to ignore the fact that the man's a professional. To add, he's Kei's mentor.
"Be careful Aki, there are so many bad guys there. So you need to be careful." Mayu said at last, as she cuddled beside Aki again.
"I got it. Now, let's go back to sleep. Okay?" Aki suggested. The two successfully drifted to slumber at last. In Aki's dream.... Ohno is definitely present.

It's already morning. Ohno's with his assistant, Sato in his apartment.
"Boss, you called me over. I presume that you have something to request again.... am I right?" he smirked. Knowing his boss for many years, he's much more of a mentor than an assistant. He's already used to him.
"Yeah. As expected from you. You know that I have something to ask from you." he replied, while fixing his hair in front of a mirror.
"What is it Boss?" Sato asked. He already knew the reason but he still asked just to be sure.
"Uhmm... well... I have an appointment now and I want you to..." Ohno can't seem to say it properly. Fortunately, Sato's intuition was right.
"I got it. It's obvious. You're in good shape today huh." he smirked. "Enjoy your day. Leave the paper works to me. You know that I can't reject you..."
"Arigatou, Sato-kun. You're the best!"
Sato just snickered at his praise. "Boss, In case that you don't know, Katsuragi-sama will be leaving Japan this morning." he informed. Ohno looked dumbfounded when he just heard it right now.
"...I didn't know....what time will she leave?" He mumbled and asked. He seems to be feeling uneasy for some reason.
"About this time, she's already in the airport." Sato answered back, smiling. He already know what's going inside Ohno's head right now. He's so easy to read in contrast to what people usually say about him.
"I... I..." Ohno's thoughts became so blank. Why didn't he know that she is leaving already? He has no idea at all. The comb that he's holding earlier was at the floor now. It's much of a shock for him.
"Go Boss. You still have time to see her off. Don't worry; I'll just inform Namase about the delay." Sato asserted. He tried to encourage the confused man.
Ohno nodded in response as he quickly went to drive his car. I don't know but... I want to see her so bad... I didn't know that she was leaving. I need to hurry.
Meanwhile, Aki is standing beside the clock tower, the place they planned to meet. She's wearing a sundress for their date. Holding a purse in her hand, she's patiently waiting. Excitement and Anxiety mixed.
Finally, we got the chance to go on a date. Is he here already? No, I don't think so... I kind of went here earlier than the time we agreed to meet. Anyway, what should I do?... I don't have any idea on what’s going to happen during a date! What's a date anyway!? Aki thought. The girl is patiently waiting while her thoughts keep on torturing her.

Makie is still waiting for the plain's departure, sitting among the airport seats. This is not the first time she would go abroad. She has done it many times with her father and mother. But this is the first time she would leave... all by herself. As expected, she didn't think she would feel lonely about the ride. It's not that she's okay with it... she's used to it. While waiting, flashbacks from the past kept replaying inside her head.
Actually, before she and Aki met yesterday, while talking to Katsu, Aoyama called.
"Makky... your phone is ringing... won't you answer it?" Katsu stated the obvious. Makie can't seem to decide. It's been a long time since they started talking. The last time they talked was when they were interviewed about their movie. She's so nervous. After all, she can't still believe that she confessed to someone who has a wife and a child already.
In the end, she answered it. Almost hesitantly, she greeted him with a "hello".
The conversation was not long... but it's not short either... Katsu silently stared at the girl.
"I heard that.... you'll be leaving Japan tomorrow... is that true?" his musky voice can be heard from the other line. Makie was not sure of how to reply properly.
"Yeah... kind of." she almost slipped her words. The tension between them is still there. They haven't talked to each other since she confessed her feelings to him. "About... what happened in the past, erase it." those words just came out from her mouth without thinking first.
"Sure. I'll erase it from my memories. So erase yours too." he replied.
I've erased them already. Not just the memories but also the feelings. I don't have any more feelings for him. In the first place, he has his own family already... I'm not the kind of person who will flail over one guy. There are still many more out there. It doesn't have to be senpai...
The plane for her departure is now ready. She stood up from where she was sitting as she started to walk away.
"Makie!" A familiar voice came from behind her. She jolted to a stop as she turned around. "Why... didn't you tell me anything... about this?" he strived to catch his breath.
"Ohno..." Makie didn't know what to say in the first place. She unconsciously mumbled his name. "Why do I need to inform you that I'll be leaving?"
"That's.... because I want to see you off." Ohno replied. The blush on his face can't be hide. I don't know but I had this urge to see you... before you leave.
"I appreciate it." She smiled. "Thanks for taking your time going here."
"We're... friends right?" he said it almost hesitantly.
Makie snickered at her question. "I kind of regret saying that though...." she said with a very soft voice, inaudible to the man's ears.
"Take care." Ohno simply said. I wanted to say that at least...
"Gosh... how plain can you be!?" She said at the same time hugging the man in front of her.
Ohno can be so shock at these moments too. An unexpected hug from her. On the other side, Aki is starting to get worried. 30 minutes have passed. Will he still come or not? But no matter what happens... Aki won't give up.

"What did he told you?" Aki asked. Her best friend still doesn't know about how she's being scouted as a model, and she has no intention to tell her this.
"Well... you said that I shouldn't let him in if ever he comes... and I should never talk to him... so I closed the door the moment he said his name."
"I see. Thanks." Aki sighed in relief. At least, the man didn't rant something.
"Who is that man anyway? What does he need from you?" Mayu asked in curiosity.
"Well... he's just someone who's... troublesome and persistent." Aki tried to ignore the fact that the man's a professional. To add, he's Kei's mentor.
"Be careful Aki, there are so many bad guys there. So you need to be careful." Mayu said at last, as she cuddled beside Aki again.
"I got it. Now, let's go back to sleep. Okay?" Aki suggested. The two successfully drifted to slumber at last. In Aki's dream.... Ohno is definitely present.

It's already morning. Ohno's with his assistant, Sato in his apartment.
"Boss, you called me over. I presume that you have something to request again.... am I right?" he smirked. Knowing his boss for many years, he's much more of a mentor than an assistant. He's already used to him.
"Yeah. As expected from you. You know that I have something to ask from you." he replied, while fixing his hair in front of a mirror.
"What is it Boss?" Sato asked. He already knew the reason but he still asked just to be sure.
"Uhmm... well... I have an appointment now and I want you to..." Ohno can't seem to say it properly. Fortunately, Sato's intuition was right.
"I got it. It's obvious. You're in good shape today huh." he smirked. "Enjoy your day. Leave the paper works to me. You know that I can't reject you..."
"Arigatou, Sato-kun. You're the best!"
Sato just snickered at his praise. "Boss, In case that you don't know, Katsuragi-sama will be leaving Japan this morning." he informed. Ohno looked dumbfounded when he just heard it right now.
"...I didn't know....what time will she leave?" He mumbled and asked. He seems to be feeling uneasy for some reason.
"About this time, she's already in the airport." Sato answered back, smiling. He already know what's going inside Ohno's head right now. He's so easy to read in contrast to what people usually say about him.
"I... I..." Ohno's thoughts became so blank. Why didn't he know that she is leaving already? He has no idea at all. The comb that he's holding earlier was at the floor now. It's much of a shock for him.
"Go Boss. You still have time to see her off. Don't worry; I'll just inform Namase about the delay." Sato asserted. He tried to encourage the confused man.
Ohno nodded in response as he quickly went to drive his car. I don't know but... I want to see her so bad... I didn't know that she was leaving. I need to hurry.
Meanwhile, Aki is standing beside the clock tower, the place they planned to meet. She's wearing a sundress for their date. Holding a purse in her hand, she's patiently waiting. Excitement and Anxiety mixed.
Finally, we got the chance to go on a date. Is he here already? No, I don't think so... I kind of went here earlier than the time we agreed to meet. Anyway, what should I do?... I don't have any idea on what’s going to happen during a date! What's a date anyway!? Aki thought. The girl is patiently waiting while her thoughts keep on torturing her.

Makie is still waiting for the plain's departure, sitting among the airport seats. This is not the first time she would go abroad. She has done it many times with her father and mother. But this is the first time she would leave... all by herself. As expected, she didn't think she would feel lonely about the ride. It's not that she's okay with it... she's used to it. While waiting, flashbacks from the past kept replaying inside her head.
Actually, before she and Aki met yesterday, while talking to Katsu, Aoyama called.
"Makky... your phone is ringing... won't you answer it?" Katsu stated the obvious. Makie can't seem to decide. It's been a long time since they started talking. The last time they talked was when they were interviewed about their movie. She's so nervous. After all, she can't still believe that she confessed to someone who has a wife and a child already.
In the end, she answered it. Almost hesitantly, she greeted him with a "hello".
The conversation was not long... but it's not short either... Katsu silently stared at the girl.
"I heard that.... you'll be leaving Japan tomorrow... is that true?" his musky voice can be heard from the other line. Makie was not sure of how to reply properly.
"Yeah... kind of." she almost slipped her words. The tension between them is still there. They haven't talked to each other since she confessed her feelings to him. "About... what happened in the past, erase it." those words just came out from her mouth without thinking first.
"Sure. I'll erase it from my memories. So erase yours too." he replied.
I've erased them already. Not just the memories but also the feelings. I don't have any more feelings for him. In the first place, he has his own family already... I'm not the kind of person who will flail over one guy. There are still many more out there. It doesn't have to be senpai...
The plane for her departure is now ready. She stood up from where she was sitting as she started to walk away.
"Makie!" A familiar voice came from behind her. She jolted to a stop as she turned around. "Why... didn't you tell me anything... about this?" he strived to catch his breath.
"Ohno..." Makie didn't know what to say in the first place. She unconsciously mumbled his name. "Why do I need to inform you that I'll be leaving?"
"That's.... because I want to see you off." Ohno replied. The blush on his face can't be hide. I don't know but I had this urge to see you... before you leave.
"I appreciate it." She smiled. "Thanks for taking your time going here."
"We're... friends right?" he said it almost hesitantly.
Makie snickered at her question. "I kind of regret saying that though...." she said with a very soft voice, inaudible to the man's ears.
"Take care." Ohno simply said. I wanted to say that at least...
"Gosh... how plain can you be!?" She said at the same time hugging the man in front of her.
Ohno can be so shock at these moments too. An unexpected hug from her. On the other side, Aki is starting to get worried. 30 minutes have passed. Will he still come or not? But no matter what happens... Aki won't give up.
