stuff....
i haven't written here for awhile. and this is my public journal so, i'll do a little update. my kids are home. and my son is taller then me. my daughter is taller too. they've been home for a few weeks now. and they're still tan. they were in florida for hurricane charley. and my parents are there. they live there. i just talked to them and they're waiting for hurricane frances to come. it's on shore but, it hasn't reached them yet. i'm happy for my friend sarah who after worrying until her hands blistered got a job. she was really worried about finding a job. i know it's going to open her world so, much more. my computer was down for like 3 days. i would turn it on and all the programs would load and it would freeze. i'd have to keep doing control alt delete once and doing an end task on the program that was freezing before it froze. or i'd have to throw it into safe mode. i called aol and they told me it was a problem with my computer. and then last night i called yahoo and they tested my modem. they had me check my ethernet card. the ethernet light on the back of my tower and on the modem were off. and they told me the ethernet card was fine. they said that when i upgraded my aol 9.0 to aol 9.0 se that it might have done something. so, they told me to move the ethernet card. they told me that if that didn't work i was going to call hewlet packard. they made my computer. and i don't have an ethernet card in my computer so, i have an ethernet card adapter. so, i took the housing off of my computer and i unplugged my ethernet card and replugged it in the same spot and turned the modem on and the light went on! i was so, happy. then i remembered my kids wanted to unplug the modem and plug it into the playstation2 to play a game online. and it must have knocked the ethernet card loose. i had to go back and plug it back in. but, apparently i didn't plug it all the way in! i'm so, glad it wasn't something wrong with my modem, tower or ethernet card. today i think i'm making stuffed peppers for dinner. i'm going to make my own sauce too. that's not a new thing for me. i'm going to make the sauce and let it cook all day. the longer it cooks the better it tastes.
