I love the interaction between the brothers - very real considering their start in Outcast. Nice job with the tentative peace they established. I like the idea of a sequel as well - lots of possibilities there.

Thanks so much! Having been through something similar, I couldn't see them just picking up and going on like nothing had happened. There was too much anger at the wake and far too much water under the bridge from years past. I'm very happy to hear you found my scenario to be realistic. :)

And I don't know that I'd call it a sequel, exactly, but I do have another plot bunny brewing that will re-unite the Sheppard brothers in the future. But that one will be awhile--to many WIPs to get past first, lol.

Misconceptions...one of the greatest buggers of life. You've done a fantastic job demonstrating that. *Claps*

Assumptions about what someone else thinks or feels cause so much trouble. I like how they try to clear the air as best they can.

Yeah, assumptions about others nearly always lead to problems later on. I didn't think it would be at all realistic for them to just go on like nothing had happened in the past, but I definitely had the impression that when John knocked on that door at the end, he really wanted to reach out to his brother and try to move past it.

Thanks muchly for reading and commenting! :)

LOL, um, I don't suppose I could get by with a "Sorry, the polls have closed for the night." could I? *grins*

Okay, so you can vote for one. I just can't promise when it will ever see the light of day as I have a number of other stories to finish up before I can allow myself anything new.

And btw, I also can't promise that the sequel I will someday write will be the sequel you want to read, as I have recently been made aware that apparently it's begging for two different...follow-ups. (Sorry, but I just cant bring myself to actually spell out the dreaded "s" word! *g*)
