*My Cousin*

My little cousin just got back from ARMY basic training. He was gone his whole senior year summer. At 17 y.o. he gave up his last childhood carefree summer and gave it to his country. I'm so proud! And he’s pretty awesome!

* Best Military story my cousin shared:

A perfectly normal guy enlists and realizes he no longer wants to be in.
So in order to get out, he pretends he's on an imaginary bicycle. Peddling, dinging his bike bell, and steering this imaginary bicycle about the grounds and even in the showers. They send him in for evaluation.

Counselor says "oh this is something about your father isnt it son?" Then he’s to specialists and since he kept wasting the drill sergeants time he said, "FINE, I'm done with him, SEND HIM HOME!"

So as the guy leaves, he rides his bike up to the cabby, gets off, kicks the kick stand down, pulls out a chain and lock, locks the bike to something, then gives the cabby his imaginary keys and says, "IF ANYONE EVER WANTS TO GET OUT OF BOOT CAMP - GIVE THEM THE KEYS TO MY BIKE."

The cabby drops him off at the air port and reports to the drill sergeant and says, "That, boy gave me the keys to his bike, and said: "IF ANYONE EVER WANTS TO GET OUT OF BOOT CAMP - GIVE THEM THE KEYS TO MY BIKE."

THE SERGEANT CALLS OUT THE Platoon and says, something about having the keys to this army dropouts bike. And takes the keys unlocks "this imaginary bike." Then picks it up above his head and throws it in a pond, on base. Then following - he tosses a rock, and says "LOOK IT EVEN MADE A SLASH! - No one can get the god damn imaginary bike now!!!!"
