happy thanksgiving...
A very Happy Thanksgiving to all :)
I do hope everyone practices a little moderation as we all stuff ourselves silly! I'm not promising anything though ;)
I am thankful for the fact that I only have to make pies this year *smiles serenely*
Last year, we did everything except the turkey. And we were in the midst moving into the new place which we had gotten a week and a half earlier, so we were still living out of boxes while cooking Thanksgiving dinner for eight O_o
I love making a big meal like that, so there was happiness and moments of contentment, but mostly it was sheer unadulterated panic as we realized that half the spices and other baking supplies were still fifteen miles away at the old house. We still made a fantastic spread (even if I do say so myself) and tested our abilities to get creative with food preparation :) So, it is nice this year to only have to worry about a couple of pies (buttermilk pie and pumpkin pie).
We'll be cooking for Christmas though...
