NaNoWriMo: Day Eight, Year Three

Word Count: 10057 words

Brain Cells: Hate having to work Saturdays

Cheerleaders: Are smoking me on the word count front! Go! Go! Go!

My Saturdays on schedule are always difficult, but today I had to catch up on all the paperwork that was left undone yesterday due to my absence at the event. Because, you know, there's no one else there who is capable of checking a few lists and making sure a half dozen pages get printed off. Urgh. Then there were the two issues I had to research, which meant going through stacks of other people's work trying to find the discrepancies. Always more fun than a barrel full of monkeys on nitrous oxide.

I'm happy with what I did get done, even if it's only 1027 words. I have a plan, you see. I've taken this coming Friday off, making my normal Saturday/Sunday/Monday into a four day weekend. So, in addition to a hopefully productive Veteran's Day, I plan to have two nuclear days on Friday and Monday. I'm shooting for 3000 to 5000 each day, which combined with staying on target at 1667 words between now and then, should get me caught up... or even slightly ahead!

Here's hoping so, anyway. :)
