The saga continues...

So I now have a ticket from Toronto to BWI and a spot for Kore. The Canadian woman on the phone with booking was very nice and helped answer a lot of questions for me. However I STILL have to get the Japanese side to accept a booking with Kore, arg. So after 2 classes I get to go to the BOE, explain I'm taking a pet with me, and probably deal with some frowns etc. Dude, I tried calling the stupid company myself. According to them, I'm not in the computer! That gives me a mild heart attack everytime I think about it.

On the downside, flying into BWI means Tina and I won't have a chance to visit Heather M and Heather T, who I was hoping to see. On the upside, Tina can fly up to her sister's grad etc and won't have to do all that horrendous driving. Now if only we could get someone to cover her shift Tuesday so she's not flying in, driving us back at 2am in the morning and going to work at 5am.

In addition I got to school today and Sanae is out for the day. I hope she's ok. She left worksheets for the 2nd year Elective class and they're good kids so this shouldn't be a problem.

I was thinking of going away gifts and found some post cards from Virginia that have been in my desk a while. I think I still have some at home as well so hopefully I can scrounge up enough to give to the teachers here. If I'd been intelligent I'd have thought of this earlier and had mom send me some more. Oh well...

Now I just have to finish paying off various bills (school lunch, my cell phone, gas, electric....), buy a new suitcase, get the Kuroneko delivery service to take my two big suitcases to the airport (can you believe they deliver suitcases to the airport?! Wish I'd known that before now!) and give the apartment a thorough cleaning. Found another large spider and a baby mukade (Japanese centipede from Hell) last night. It may be 2 months until my successor comes, but the least I can do is try and get rid of anything there and put down new roach motels. Damn handy things, those bug motels. They catch all sorts of lovely insects, not just cockroaches. Pity they can't get rid of the mice though.
