Overdose of happy
Man oh man oh man. I cannot remember if I mentioned this before, but for those who don't know: Tim Burton is making an Alice in Wonderland movie. TIM BURTON. !!!!!
Capslock squee-ing doesn't even begin to touch my level of happy in regard to this.
For those who don't know, Alice in Wonderland is my all-time favorite book. I still re-read the copy I've had since first grade, and I'm pushing 30. The fact that Tim Burton is involved in making a movie about Alice is just....it's perfect. PERFECTION. I know there are a lot of good directors out there, but I really don't think anyone else could be more suited for this kind of thing. I first heard about this movie (not due out until March 2010, argh!) a few weeks ago, and immediately looked up information/pictures on the internets.
Lookit my icon. Yes indeedy, that's Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. !!!!
Apparently the movie takes place 10 years after Alice's original trip to Wonderland. She's 17 now, and (from what I read) doesn't remember her first visit to Wonderland. The pictures I found are tantalizing and aggravating - I want more, dammit, more!
And now there's a movie trailer, which was shown at ComiCon this weekend. You can find it on YouTube. I just watched it, and my levels of happy went through the roof. Seriously. There are no words to describe how excited I am about this, just high-pitched happy squeaky noises. I'm giddy.
And now I have to run off to work. Just wanted to share some of my glee. !!!!!!!
