Pack That Ass Up!

Sometimes the horoscopes just get a little too close for comfort. Mine for today:

Scorpio - Today is a 9 - You'll soon be in a much better position to move ahead. Pack your gear and make plans to take action tonight or tomorrow.

Yeaahhhh. Moving fun. I got do drive a HUGE (24 feet long!) truck to our house this morning. I nearly murdered the tree in the front yard (the one that never earned a tire swing, having been the cause of a flood in our basement the first night we were there last year) attempting to back that bad boy into the driveway. Fortunately, I have a more than awesome across-the-street neighbor, and he helped guide me in. I only killed a few branches, and they'll grow back. Acceptable casualties, I say.

That truck was just about the last one available in the greater Boulder area available for love or money this weekend. Apparently, most people like to move over weekends, so the truck rental places see fit to charge outrageous amounts, both per diem and per mile if you're cruising on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Doesn't matter. I'd pay anything to get into our new place as soon as physically possible. And that means tonight.

After I get out of class today, and Jon gets out of work, we're gonna start loading up. We're mostly packed, but I had to hold off on some kitchen stuff 'cause I ran out of newspaper for padding. And there's lots of booze to pack up as well. Some stuff in my room, and Jon's desk, and that should be pretty much it. Most everything is ready and waiting in the garage. We're gonna load up the huge ass truck for as long as it takes, head over to the new place, unload it all, and hopefully sleep there at some point tonight or early tomorrow morning. Truck's due back by 9am, and we have a wedding to go to tomorrow afternoon in the mountains. Nothing like a bit of pressure on the system to keep things moving. Moving, heh.

I think I'm delirious. I spent WAY too long struggling with a stupid chemistry problem last night, and then stayed up way too late packing up the kitchen afterwards. I'll be beside myself with happiness once I'm in MY HOUSE, unpacking all our stuff, cause all the hard work will be *so* worth it.
