I'm feeling the need to put down in writing, the goals that I have for the next two weeks. I'm hoping that putting them out there for the world to see will help me motivate and stay on the path.

I start school in two weeks.

I am making a commitment to begin waking up earlier and earlier. This means going to be earlier as well. I need the extra hours in my day so that I can get more accomplished.

I am making a commitment to spending time each day doing planning for my classes. Today was futzing around on the school district website and it was a mess. The day is young, and there's still more time. I feel like I have plenty of resources and materials, and it would be awesome if I could have the first couple of days, perhaps week, outlined specifically, as well as a general timeline for the semester.

I am rededicating myself to the healthy lifestyle. Some of that untapped time in the morning will be allocated to moving my body more, as well as eating better. That means doing exercises in the spare bedroom, doing cardio in the gym or outside, and it also means preparing and cooking more meals. I eat like utter crap when I'm not making my own means. Granted, not all of the meals I make are great, but in general I think they're better. And it's hard and it sucks and I'll get used to it. And I'll feel better about everything once I do.

I think that all of these endeavors fall under a common heading: taking better care of myself. Taking care of my career and my health and my future. And it's just gotta be done.
