Soooooo, after watching that episode it occurred to me that the writers of this show have A) no clue of how lineages were passed on, B) quite possibly made Robin even more annoying when he was little then when he grew up, and C)obviously do not keep track of previous episodes before writing new ones
With respect to point A, I am increasingly confused as to how Guy managed to not inherit his fathers lands upon his ' first death'. I mean he was his fathers heir, he would have inherited everything. He seemed to be at least 15 years old if not older which is more than old enough to inherit, even if his mother had to serve as his 'regent' of sorts. Guys father being a leper does not stop Guy from inheriting his father and mothers lands. Not to mention the small but ever so crucial, tiny little detail that only the father being a traitor and absolved of his rights, title etc could deny Guy that right, so the idea of Guy or his mother loosing everything because his father went to war and got infected is ridiculous.
B) How in hell could Robin not feel even slightly responsible for not helping Guy and his sister?!? I mean from the begining he was a freaking problem. Allowing Guy to take the blame for nearly killing that priest, he didn't say jack shit when he was about to be hanged, but after his father fixed shit, he's like "Well what had happened was..." Nothing public is said which means that Guy still bore the blame. And then he goes running through the freaking town talking about "The Leper is back!!" If he had shut up or at least told his fiather quietly, Guy's parents may have lived cause the whole town wouldn't have been there to burn the freaking house down. He played a huge part in ruining Guy's life and Season one starts and there is not a shred of remorse or guilt for letting him take the blame for everything and leaving him by himself with a little sister to care for. Which brings me to point C):
UM, GUY AND ROBIN KNEW EACH OTHER AS CHILDREN!?!??!!? WTF?!?!
Season one there is no freaking hint that they knew each other outside of the holy land. Robin doesn't even recognize him. I mean do these people do a round robin and hold raffles to figure out who writes the next episode? Do they even keep track of previous ones so that shit like this doesn't happen? Right now, knowing this back story makes me hate Robin even more. I mean do they think that this will make him more sympathetic? Cause it doesn't. At all. Just the idea that he was the one standing between Guy and Isabella having a chance at life makes me so freaking angry. And then he has the nerve to talk about Guy killing Marian? I mean if he had manned up and helped Guy 20 years previously, none of this would have happened. Granted he was eight year old when all this went down but even now he shows no remorse. He took over Locksley and conveniently forgot about Guy and Isabella. It's unforgivable. He's supposedly all about helping the helpless, but where the hell was he when Guy and Isabella needed him? He's such a freaking ass!! Ugh! Who the hell is writting this show?!?
Anyway that is my rant for the day.
