What an amazing adventure! I feel soooo rejuvinated! The drive was so beautiful and so relaxing. I sang and danced and cried and laughed and screamed at the top of my lungs. LoL...yes, we all know, Katie is a crazy person ;) but my God was it needed!!!
I decided to hang with my Gram's out in Glenwood. The first night one of my cousins was also there with her children and her new boyfriend and his children. DAMN cute kids. They brought a smile to my face the entire time they were there. They left early Saturday morning, and my Gram and I headed out the Fishlake to have some lunch at the Bowery. (Best Fish n' chips EVOR! You must go!!) And while she visited with old friends at the lodge, I went down to the shore and stuck my toesies in the water and took some beautiful photo's. (You can see them all on my MySpace Page
www.myspace.com/kinkykatie420 ) Afterwards Gram napped and I went and visited my Gramps at the Glenwood Cemetary, which I believe, helped me most. I miss him, and it was good to just sit and think about all of the good times we had. RIP Gramps...I love you!! :)
That night we took it easy, read a lot, and ate munchies, then went to bed. I slept for over 12 hours. haha! It was awesome. On Sunday we went into town (Richfield) and had lunch at the Little Wonders Cafe. Delicious! We talked about what I was planning on doing with my life, and where I would go from here. I got some good advice from my Gram, she's an amazing woman.
And then, the drive home. Again, it was spectacular. I didn't make any stops, just a straight shot home. Once I saw the city, I felt a little sad inside. I wasn't ready to be back to the chaos. But I AM ready to start making some much needed changes in my life. And it begins now. I'll be back to Gram's very soon I'm sure. So relaxing, so reviving, so beautiful.
Home again....time to buck up and do something with my life!!
Mad Love and Respect!
