I decided to get up and take some steps to find someone that I used to work with. Haven't found him yet, but did discover that an old friend (who is one of the many whose e-mail addresses I lost in the Big Mac Crash of 2001) is not only on LiveJournal, but living in this area! Fortune does indeed favor the bold.
