You know it's a bad rendition of Jane Austen when I'm choosing to watch Lord of the Rings over Pride and Prejudice. I tried to like the Kiera Knightly one, but it's just such a pale image of the book or the previous movie. Why remake something if you're only going to make it worse?
At least through watching Lord of the Rings I'll be able to ignore it enough to get some work done (another movie I saw once and wasn't interested enough to even see the next two parts of, much less watch it again). I could just turn the TV off, but I generally get more work done with something in the background.
Maybe I'll just pop in an MST3K. Again.
