Parakeet
Today I bought Zoe my new baby pet parakeet. We had an interesting ride home in the snow and then I assembled the cage with all the toys and goodies. Then it was time to get the parakeet out of the box. Why do they give such big boxes for soo very small birds. I tried to catch her but apparently we're still afraid of each other and once he tried to fly I quickly closed the box and decided it would be too traumatic for both of us if I were to try to catch him in my hand and force him into a new environement so I decided to cut a hole in the box and let him choose when he was ready to go into his new home. After an entire evening of talking to a cage I think he's finally warming up to me althought the blinding camera flashes probably didn't help.
