After getting into several internet debates with people on the subject, I think I am going to keep a list of police brutality cases. I will update the list as I hear of new stories. I am not going to specifically seek them out, but it seems like one comes to my attention at least once every week (which is far, far too often).

Here is one that happened just now:

3/2/2011 Chicago cops in uniform rape a woman after giving her a ride home.

2/10/2011 Cops barge into students' apartment, beat them up and detain them, without any given cause for a search or arrest. (They had an arrest warrant for someone else in the building, in an entirely different apartment.)
