My record collection can beat your record collection
...well, no, not really. I'm too cheap.
But I did go to the Princeton Record Exchange recently, and thanks to the dollar bin, my little box of records is now enriched with the following:
1. Obviously my best acquisition.
The reaction of everyone else in the store who saw this album cover: "WTF?!" My reaction: "I must have this glorious glorious thing of beauty!"
2. I actually like the songs on Crimes of Passion better, but this was the cooler cover.
3. I now have both soundtrack versions on vinyl!
4. I'm really quite a fan of musicals.
5. Now I have English fairy tales on vinyl to add to all my Russian ones!
Also. While I was still with Derek, I was telling him about my high school Wings of the Phoenix story, and he remarked on the fact that one of the main characters had his name. Well, because I'm still kinda hung up on Derek, I just recently turned down a perfectly nice guy named Robert. Which was the other main male character's name, and which basically makes me Maria (the female protagonist). And while Maria was always kind of my avatar, for the first time in my life I actually look like her, 'cause right now I have her haircut. My past stories are invading my life!
At least Robert doesn't have to worry. According to the storyline he should meet a really hot half-Japanese girl soon, who's really much more awesome than Maria.
