Yes, STILL

Eeeee, video clips of what I was talking about in my last entry are up on Youtube now.

Here's Mika wearing the fan-made trousers and singing Grace Kelly. Except you can hardly hear him sing thanks to everybody else singing along with him. Some of the journalistic reviews of this gig said that the audience was "friendly but not fanatical" this time. I say, wtf? I don't know if I would like to see the "fanatical" nights then--you wouldn't be able to hear anything at all.

He's such a sweetheart, though.

Also, an amusing conversation that I participated in on the forums, dealing with the meaning of a song that Mika has said he would rather not discuss:

NewFan: Has he ever spoken about this song in an interview? I've only seen a handful of interviews in the short time I've been a fan, and I haven't seen this song pop up in conversation yet.

OlderFan: It's mysterious all of this....maybe a problem with his family, about his career...don't know & don't like to speculate...

ForumPerson: I have my own interpretations of what it's about. I think the meaning is multi-faceted. If I am correct about the rest, then Mika is wise to speak little about it.

Me: Someone once provided an interpretation here that I agree with, and is how I read the song as well... and if that interpretation is true, I definitely see why Mika wants to keep it private. If you do a search on this song in the forums, you will see some of the interpretations previously offered... including the one I am talking about.

GirlFan: I think I read your post in another thread and that's what I think, too.

Me: I was just driving around listening to it on repeat, and suddenly I had this very clear thought, "Oh God, it's about THAT, isn't it?"

OtherPerson: Is 'THAT' what I think it is?

Me: Hah, THAT is several things really. But if it is what you think it is, I probably shouldn't say so, should I?

OtherPerson: Haha, yes, 'cause that's a no-no here.

NewFan: I just re-read the lyrics with a new frame of mind. It makes a lot more sense now.

Passerby: really?? this thread only confused me more.

RandomFan: Oh gosh...now I'm really confused. I thought I had it before, but with all this vague talk and references to things that can't be discussed, my mind is running in circles and I'm thinking I'm either understanding what people here are implying or I'm disgustingly perverse.

OtherPerson: I don't know but I still stand with what I think it's about, and I could be WAAAAY off but I'll keep thinking that until Mika says himself what it's about.

GirlFan: Yeah, and if it's about what I think it's about, he probably won't tell...

OtherPerson: Exactly, 'cause that's honestly one of the only other things, I can think of...

SlightlyBefuddledFan: oh i think its gotta be about the same thing.

Me: I think there's also more to the song than that, and there are at least two, if not three, very good reasons why he would not talk about it. IF all my guesses are right, I definitely wouldn't talk about it either for any ONE of those reasons.

SlightlyBefuddledFan: oh i am getting so confused lol

OtherPerson: Well I wish I could come right out and say my thoughts but I've seen enough people get jumped all over and I don't feel like dealing with that right now.

Me: See, I don't want to share my guesses openly. If people have similar interpretations to mine, like I know some people here do, I think they'll get what I mean...

OtherPerson: I definitely get it and think the same way you do. I'm surprised I didn't figure some of it out before!

SlightlyBefuddledFan: gah i feel so outta the loop!

OtherPerson: It's just basically what 'that' is and you already know!

SlightlyBefuddledFan: what is "that" i probably do know, but im to out of it to think of it now, ugh this is gunna bother me haha.

And thankfully for everyone's sanity it ended there.

The last entry was actually f-locked for random reasons, so any of you casual journal browsers should be happy that you're being spared the full extent of my Mika obsession.
