Snowed in
So, I was about to make a post briefly summing up the weekend and saying that Alex had left, when Alex walked back in the door and announced that he'd almost run himself off the road and so he would be staying until the snow became more manageable. Supposedly even the highways had an inch of snow on them. And here I was complaining that winter proper was over too soon.
Yesterday was just slick and cold and grimy, but tonight we were all covered with pretty white snow--that necessitated that Alex and I spend half an hour digging Maya's car out, ending up totally wet and frozen. The car also got frozen to the ground for a bit, so that we were almost afraid (or I was, anyway) that it's just get stuck in the middle of the parking lot indefinitely. But then, hurrah, we got it out! Not that it did much good, as, well, snow on highways and Alex being forced to come back and all. (In addition to being wet and cold, he managed to burn his finger on the car, too. He's multitalented in his misfortune.)
Now I shall treat you to a little photo essay of snow, more snow, and Alex sleeping (just for strangedivine)!
