My *new* life, thus far....
Ok....so living Not There is basically good. There have been some residual ex issues, roommate issues, and a BIG HONKING R issue that took a week to resolve, but on this side of all of it, I'm doing ok.
Got the official job offer, so I start Monday. I'm stoked about that, and I never say stoked. (Actually, I find myself saying stoked more and more, but I always say after it "and I never say stoked.")
Addie started day care and loves it and seems to be doing well.
Had lunch with my mom today for my birthday (which is next Tuesday) and she told the waitress it was my birthday celebration so they came out and sang and announced it to the dining room...which made Addie freak. I told my mom, "Well, you've managed to embarrass your daughter and terrify your granddaughter...is your day complete now?"
Bought a kitchen table and chairs today. (I let Michael keep the old set)
Got my hair trimmed back up again. Not sure how I like it. Will have to see it after I wash and style it myself.
This week is just getting things lined out for starting back into the work force on Monday. I'm supposed to go out with my brother on Saturday for his birthday which was the 7th (he turned 21) so I'm sure we'll be drinking. Sunday I get to go see my boy at work. :D
Here's the deal. R is a recording engineer. Sunday he's recording Cass's boyfriend's band, so we're taking the guys pizza for lunch. That way she can meet Robert, I can see him work, and do damage control for anything she might say to R. :) I'm actually looking forward to it. I've been TO his work before but I was drunk and don't remember it at all....mostly.
Anyway..then Monday start my new job, Tuesday is my birthday...I work, then after work R and I are hanging out. I believe I'm going to suggest that we just cook there and watch a movie...nice lazy night in since I have to work in the morning and want to be home by midnight, no later. Then next Saturday I'm gathering the posse and heading out to celebrate. :D
