Hermione took one last look at the Rita Skeeter's article and, with a look of pure loathing, crumbled it up and threw into the fire pit outside their tent.

"I guess she's not going to let go of talking rubbish about us," Ron said, wrapping his arms around Hermione's waist. His breath tickled her ear and warmed her cold neck in the low temperatures of the Argentinean Patagonia's steppe.

"I guess not," Hermione, said as she wrapped her own hands around his.

She hoped that when she and Ron had given their statements to Witch Weekly shortly after their marriage, that they gotten rid of all that speculation and gossip, but by the looks of things, that woman still had the nerve to cast doubt and drag them all through the rumor mill.

She feels Ron snort. "Is it too late for you to threaten her about putting her in a jar again?"

"If Ginny hadn't hexed her, and she better be careful about it Ron or she could get fired-"

"They wouldn't dare to fire her, it would make many people upset over it" Ron said, "Ginny is popular with them, which I can't say for Skeeter, even if they let her come here and write her rubbish."

"- so I can't do anything to Skeeter right now, she'll be prepared for it."

"Bugger"

Hermione could tell Ron was trying to lift the mood, and she could also tell that the article has touched a nerve for him. It had definitely annoyed her too, but more about what Rita had said about everyone else. (Except for the "ruthless careerist" Can She Have it All?" comment. That had stung.) Ron had grown so much into believing in himself and his self-worth since they were at Hogwarts, and more since he joined the Aurors and they had gotten married. Hermione didn't need to tell him that he was an incredible husband and father to Rose and Hugo. She knew he knew. But she knew he still struggled with seeing his self-worth with others in the public eye.

She shifted around to face him.

"You know it doesn't matter right? She can't change who I Chose to marry, or change the fact we have two wonderful children together-"

"I know that -"

"Good" Hermione said. She grabbed him by the collar and kisses him, their hot breaths warming each other's faces. Wrapping her arms around his warm, solid torso.

"Hermione..."

Hermione doesn't let him finish that sentence. Her lips were over his again and she was kissing him hungrily.

Ron pulled her up, as she wrapped her legs around him, and then carried her inside their tent.

Since their children were with the others Hermione didn't worried about them; as her and Ron's clothes got littered all over the tent's floor and she showed Ron, very physically, how much she loved him.

Happily focused on their passionate love-making they left behind the article lying in the fire of the pit. The article, with the face of that blonde hag smiling condescendingly, was slowly disintegrated by the flames.
