I didn't shoot a man in Reno, just to watch him die
Reno, Nevada. Huzzah. Is every city in this state sketchy beyond reason? Pretty much. (see previous post: Elko, Nevada = The Mos Eisley of Planet Earth)
We stay at an only mildly creepy hotel/casino here. But another flight attendant and I went and ate at the all-you-can-eat lunch hour sushi at Kokopelli's Sushi in Circus Circus Reno-- omg, SO GOOD. Yum! We were a little leery about sushi in Reno, but Circus Circus is pretty high traffic, so we thought we'd give it a go. We ate soooooo much sushi. Truly a mind-boggling amount.
They had this black pepper crusted Ahi that was so delightful different and they serve their salmon with little wisps of lemon, which just made it amazing. And they had this amazing basil cream sauce that they drizzled on some of their signature rolls. So delicious. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The only downside-- no raw unagi for some reason. They barbecued it and I wasn't a huge fan-- made it all chewy. I am so completely stuffed full of rice and raw fish right now. It's wonderful.
Do I have to go back to work now? Not really wanting to put my polyester, pantyhose, and pumps back on and deal with the crazy masses. On second thought, though, I don't particularly want to stay in Reno either. I guess that means I'd better go iron my uniform and try to paint myself pretty.
