My B
I've been a wee bit absent from my journalling duties as of late, but I'd like to think that I've had ample reason for the temporary departure. It's been a few weeks but in the past days I've packed in all sorts of fun. Jealous? Aww yeahuh! Here's a recap:
I've started working at my dad's company called Lightspeed and its a software company that specifies in providing services for schools for content filtering, student email and now a cool site that allows students and teachers to post assignments, interact and share lesson plans and resources. ..And thats about it. I've only been working part-time, and as an intern, but its been good.
Then LAST WEEK I went on a ROAD TRIPPPP!!! It was so much fun, ahh! My mind was blown. Alissa, Cassie, Jess and I packed up Dorian Grey (the Camry) and drove on up to Oregon! We stayed in Medford for two nights with Alissa's hilarious family: I adore them and want to trade. We went to Ashland and saw a terrible free hip-hop rendition of Shakespeare (ew) and went BOATING! You know how I loooove me some boats so I was in Heaven. Boaty, lakey heaven. IT WAS SO GOOD! I want a boat. Then we spent two nights in Portland with Margaret. We got to hang out with Kelsey, Becca, Brandis, Troy and Riley :D Our second day we went into Portland and spent an hour and half in Powell's :D ate food from the food carts, went shopping went to Voodoo Doughnuts and had a grand ol' time! It was swellsies. Loved every minute of it. Then we drove down to Sacramento area and stayed the night, which involved pools and pizza :D then bombed home the last day. It was great to be able to see Ptown and some of my friends before I jet off to Germany. :>
So now I've been home for four days, took a German final three days ago...AND GOT AN A ON IT!! I'm so happy! I was a little worried because I finished it kind of quickly, but I did try and it was the only think I was focussing on at the time. I feel a little more confident about my German skills now. Yesterday, Jess, my mom and I went to see Eat Pray Love and loved it. It made me feel really happy and excited for my next adventure, an adventure that starts in about ten days time. It inspired me and helped soothe some of my fears.
So now I have less than two weeks to get my affairs in order. Yikes! But this weekend I'm going to the coast with my family, gonna get one last sweet sweet tan before Deutschland!
