Hee! I may have been exaggerating a bit about the heatstroke. The unexaggerated truth: sometime near the end of the 1st half, I knew that if I didn't get up and go below to the shade pretty soon, I was going to pass out and I didn't want to embarrass myself by tumbling down the stadium, so I went. *g* After I had some cold water and cooled off a bit, I went back up and didn't stay even a half hour that time... went back down, lol. And then felt so, so sick on the drive home and all the next day (that was the worst part, really). Still, I did better than some! A few high school kids did pass out, poor things. I think the older fans fared better because we were wise enough to get out of the sun. ;)
Wow, 31C. That's proper hot. I love (and at the same time, I'm horrified) when you say 'only 31C' lol.
We had a rough summer! For a long stretch of it, it got over 100 F (what's that, about 37.8 C?) every day with heat index temps of 115 F (46 C !!) If this is global warming, holy crap. I'm scared for the future. D:
In south Louisiana, we have a looooong summer, and a short fall, winter, and spring. When I lived in Pennsylvania, we had such pretty season changes and I do miss that. I'm wondering if that part of China is similar, temperature-wise, to where I am, because we would also think of 30C as 'starting to get warm'. :)
I'm scared that the show night turn to suck in later seasons.
To me, I didn't notice even the slightest turn to suck! If anything, I think it kept getting better, but ymmv. I hope you like it all the way through! If you like Casey and Rusty, though, I think you're going to like it to the end. <3
I'll let you know. I'm desperately trying not to spoil myself silly by reading what happens to all the characters at the end or getting the final episode now and watching it.
I've watched S1 of Glee (and I love Kurt too, he is by far my favourite character) but been a bit more temperamental with S2. I've only caught an episode here and there, so I don't really know what's going on. It's pure feel-good TV. I'll have to catch up!
I don't think I've ever experienced 37C! Wow. I never realised that South Louisiana was so warm, but then again I'm not sure why it didn't twig in my brain given it's location *smacks head* It sounds like China is very similar temperature wise - or at least, where I'm heading, which is more or less on the same latitude as South Louisiana. How do you cope with the hear? air conditioning 24/7?
Yay! No suck! I'm glad to hear that Casey and Rusty will more or less remain awesome. I'm shipping Casey/Cappie quite hard. I'm not really shipping Rusty with anyone, just generally feeling lots of love and I think as long as he's happy then I'm happy, but I like the potential bromance with Dale and Calvin.
I've given up on the Vampire Diaries...I don't really like Damon, and I'm not really drawn to Stefan and Elena. I don't know, I may skip to S2 and see what's up and if it grabs my interest.
PS. I've just realised I need Greek icons!! I'll just have to use a Misfits one instead.
