make Rape Relief seethe with rage
Saturday and Sunday, Davyd, Gwen and I are requesting the
help of anyone who is available to help us. We have one planned
action on Sunday, and two we need support on.
1. Sunday: Hopefully we'll be able to get media attention as some
experienced climbers dangle themselves off of the cliff face in
Stanley Park, using the Public Space in a legal manner, displaying a
17' x 5' Banner that might read Relief for All Rape Survivors.
This one is pretty much a go. We've done the surveying, we just need
ground support. Particularly, someone who might feel comfortable
talking to the media.
2. Saturday: Attention all chalkers! We need your help, and chalk.
Same as before, we hit Stanley park with Trans Positive and Sex Worker
Positive, and Feminist Positive messaging. The more, the merrier.
Super positive slogans which will make the walkers feel nice and
squishy inside, and make Rape Relief seethe with rage.
3. Sunday! We need people to hand out material on how an
organization can become more inclusive. We need a crowd to explain
why we have people dangling in mid air above the seawall. Think of
this as an opportunity for celebration and change. Anti-Trigger
huggers will be on hand to make sure you are safe!
