yet another activity-full long weekend.
the reason we can't go out of town is because in our little town, everything happens. and we still miss a lot!
last weekend, we have opted to stay home to paint our room. the dark and plain copa cabana-like wallpaper is gone. painting is still in the works. why? because we didn't stay home as we planned. hahaha!
on thursday night, my dad arrived @ SFO. our pasalubong was the ever-famous karaoke machine. one for home, and one for arne's dad. you can never paint the happiness in daddy v's face when we surprised him with his advanced birthday gift last friday. roel, arne's cousin also just got here from vegas. and kristine his sister bought her hookah set. oh my! i finally got a taste of that hookah. we did hookah in vius' room! it has gotten me curious for a long time, especially since nhelony in san diego keeps going to those hookah bars. it's pretty cool... but being a smoker, i had to struggle to learn the hookah trick. i think i did get to have a phat smoke at certain times... some others i just ran out of breath. anyway, it's cool... but that's it? i didn't get sugar high at all. maybe i've tried better? hahaha. but it's a great way to chill... i think i got up close and personal with my cousin-in-laws for the first time and that's really memorable. i hope i had my camera. I WAS DOING HOOKAH FOR THE FIRST TIME!
on saturday, we of course woke up late. so as we were up we went to this anime convention in downtown san jose. it was cool. but we were late and whatever should've happened ended an hour after we got there. so we said goodbye to our $30pp pass. shit. what a waste. but it was interesting seeing these anime fanatics. i remember gwen stefani's "harajuku girls" song that has got me to love jpop culture. of course, i was prepared and had my camera, and what better way to make the most out of 30 bucks than to snap all you can...
PEEP PICS HERE... there was a concert we missed because we had to go somewhere else.
...we went to
YAP'S GRADUATION PARTY in Fremont. yey, congrats yap! engineer ka na! now that's where the fun started. i have never seen such young talented guitarists in one place at the same time hahaha. k, i was really impressed and a lil bit homesick... reminded me of those quezon hill parties where our friend glenn played the guitar and chi and i and our other girlfriends would hold on to song hits and sing! so the lyrics were missing that night but anyway, the party just reminded me of our friends back home. it was how we kicked it back then. oh and there was karaoke so i owned the microphone pretty much, and meeting mayot and faye and the other girls, it was crazy for hanging out the first time. and gosh, small world- yet again. faye was there. faye is this dude ian's cousin i think... (basta) they are connected. and this dude is this guy i used to chat with a lot back then that i met when arne was in texas... but we just met! (defensive) i dont think i ever mentioned this to arne so faye and i were giggling. we just met in the oddest way- thru her cousin i kinda errr... ignored? (HI ARNE! :o))
anyway... sunday ate mitch and we were suppose to meet but didn't happen because we were too tired and we had to paint. :( sorry ate mitch!!! next time.
now i have to do my homework!
