cool sculptures
Well my students are finally almost done with these cool-ass Keith Haring inspired sculptures, and they look tight! This is the most time-consuming project I've ever done in my art classes, so I'm psyched they are turning out cool and not just blah. The kids really like them, too, and they're having all sorts of fun throughout the process. When I don't have to deal with everything else at my school, my job freaking ROCKS! Also, sometimes I stand up for people who need to get it together on their own. I'm just going to do my thing in my own little classroom for a while, and enjoy the art-making and creativity part of my job.
Plus we had a house meeting and I hope everything is all sorted out. The dance between cooperative living and individual needs is always delicate, especially when we've all got 50 million things going on. I love our apartment, my roommates are interestnig and responsible, and I'm happy here for now. So it's not quite time to head for the hills, but it may be soon, you never know:)
