Boyfriends
My thoughts on the topic sparked from reading articles in cosmo and such and all my mates on my course having boyfriends that have come to stay with them while theyre alone in their halls. So i decided to consider why i am still, and pretty much always have been boyfriendless. Apart from the fact that i still havent found 'mr. right' i think my boyfriendlessness is mainly because i only seem to go for three different types of guys.
1. Mr bad to the bone (haha) the guy who is a bit of a rebel, and has a mean glint in his eye, yet treats you lovely when he wants a bit of nookie- which is of course the only thing he wants. Sex drugs rock 'n roll.
2.Mr cool - not a trendy guy, but a more er 'alternative' guy with an air of cool, hes well dressed (well clothes that i like,scruffy or baggy jeans, skater/surfer labels etc) and everyone wants to be his mate, all the 'alternative' girls fancy him and most trendy ones (but hes not an emo sort at all)anyway this is the kind of guy you would love having on your arm but he never seems to like you back!
3. Mr attached - nothing more to say really, the fact is- he's bloody attached!!!
and often the guys i like have more than one of these characteristics, sometimes all bloody three!
its like im torturing myself when im sure i could go out with a nice guy who maybe isnt quite on my social or intellectual level and who isnt exactly a stunner but is a genuinely nice guy, is more erm steady and reliable than exciting....bleugh, i think i'd rather not have a boyfriend.
see thats a problem, im in no way willing to lower my standards or expectations, well not at the moment anyway, but i'm still very willing to complain.
another problem that can be frustrating is that i can automatically say 'yes' or 'no' to whether i like the look of a guy on first impressions, but i still think that every guy should think 'yes' about me, well they should shouldnt they? to all of us, unless youre with a friend you think is prettier, then they should only think yes about you and no about her cos her nose is too big or something.
