WHY IS MY LIFE SO CRAZY?
It occurs to me that I do not update all that often. Huh. Well, I feel the need today, and not because of fandom (although I did just read the HOTTEST story ever by maxine_chan just a bit ago... you should check it out...), but because my life is crazy. Well, people in my life are crazy to be more exact... okay, so maybe just my dad right now.
He's engaged. I'm in shock. Seriously. I mean... I'm excited for him, but I'm also really upset with him right now. My parents divorced about (*does shaky math and comes up with questionable sum*) 7 years ago now, and he's been a serial-dater ever since. I think his longest relationship was about 4 months. I have a little sister who I helped to raise, and she is now 13yrs old. She met and had to hang out with a lot of these women, and maybe got a little attached to a few of them. So whenever he's broken up with yet another girlfriend, she's been having to deal with it too. So now he's been seeing this woman (who I actually like a lot; way more than any of the other women he's dated) for about 3 months... and then he asked her to marry him.
I'm actually okay with them getting married. I like her, and he seems happier than he's been in years... I'm just worried about my little sister. She hates change more than most kids do. And it seems to me like they're a bit infatuated with each other right now, and that it might not last... That would be hell for my baby sister. She's got enough going on, what with being a teenager and all, and she doesn't need extra trauma. He's actually already figuring out who is going to sleep where in our house... It's just way to fast. Way too fast.
Also, I've got this whole confusing thing with these two guys going on... I kinda have to decide who I like more / who is more worth the effort, really... Damn that sounds conceited! I'm really not that way! I've never been in this position before! I'll have to make a separate post about that mess. Hehe.
And I also have to deal with the fact that my sister is growing up. She was just asked out by a boy. She has a boyfriend now. And I'm all like "Woah. You don't think boys have cooties anymore? Wow."
AND FINALS ARE NEXT WEEK AND I WAS GOING TO TAKE THE LSAT'S THIS MONTH BUT I'VE BEEN SO STRESSED THAT I WASN'T PREPARED FOR THEM AND HAVE TO TAKE THEM IN FEBRUARY INSTEAD! TOO MUCH STUFF! MAKE IT STOP!
