Damn group splitting
So I have a fair amount of friends and once upon a time they were all capable of being in the same house or club together at an occasion. But over the years they have split into factions. Some got married and had children and moved out of the immediate area. Some went arty, some went business, some got more conservative, some got more liberal. Of course there are the relationship fractions. This person used to date this person and then after a bad break up they don't want to be around each other anymore and the split gets wider and becomes this group and that group and really I'm getting sort of tired of it. It's beginning to feel a little high school out there sometimes.
I don't expect to get invited to every event that someone I know throws. I don't mind if I'm not invited to a party or a wedding. I don't expect everyone I invite to something to show up and it doesn't bother me.
It's beginning to bother me that we have to take all these other factors into account when going out or planning events or anything like that. Sigh. Sometimes I just want to go out and do something and anyone can come if they want to and I don't care how the fuck they feel about each other. I'm 40 FUCKING years old- so are most of my friends can we stop with the drama now please?
