Hello LiveJournal Friends. :) Sorry that I've been so negelectful of you. I work on a computer all day and rarely want to spend more time on one when I get home. Enough of my excuses...
Jared and I were able to visit the midwest for a week. (Which we quickly learned is not long enough, by far.) It was wonderful to see everyone! Our only regret is that we were not able to visit with more of our friends. Thanks to everyone who was able to come out and say "what up".
Work's okay, I guess. I got a new manager who decided that I *wasn't* going to get that promotion after all, as there's evidently no need for what I was going to do. (The person who was directly above me will now be doing much of what I was.) We'll see I guess. Urgh... I totally need to get back to school!
I went to Bally's with Jared this evening and feel really great! (I haven't *really* worked out since before my surgery...yikes!) We're having a contest at work to see who can loose the most weight in 3 months with a cash prize. Let's just say that that cash prize is mine... Oh yeah... ;)
Have you guys heard about the dispute over the presidental election in Mexico? (Watching the news...) The loser is pulling a SoreLoserman. I'm so glad that we're able to be global leaders.
Ooh...and evidently there was a large fire near the previous location of my office. (The brush fires are really common out here, as everything's so horribly dry and people still think that it's a great idea to play with fire works and throw cigarette butts out of the window. Yay for everyone's car getting an ash bath! Yay!)
