Scrubs
OK, so I know I've talked about good tv shows here in the past. I'm gonna be honest, I think tv is not a waste of time and there is some DAMN good programming out there. No, the OC is not good programming. Scrubs, however, I think I've decided might be my most favorite of all time. Seriously. It makes me laugh and more impressively it makes me cry. The show is a comedy but a lot of the episodes are really sad. But you don't always know how it's going to turn out and that's part of what makes it so great.
But, the interactions between Turk and JD are ridiculously funny. Their friendship is amazing it has so many facets of funny. One little snippet from today:
Carla (Turk's wife): JD how could you do this to Turk. You two are so close that I occasionally have nightmares of you running away together.
JD: Where do we go?
Turk: One time we went to Aspen.
JD: Oooh, I hope it was summer, I'm not that big a skier.
And some old favorites:
JD: Anyway, this is the end of a major chapter in our lives and you know what? I am going to take you out tonight, yes sir, we are going to get some dinner, we'll get a nice bottle of wine
Turk : It sounds like you are asking me out on a man-date
JD: Turk, why are you so afraid of loving me?
JD's inner monologue: I think I'll try to ask Turk something telepathically. "Hey, man, you wanna do something tonight?"
Turk: Dude, yeah. Let's hang out and watch some TV. We got any beer?
It's just so damn good. Comedic gold. Ok, that is all.
Edit: Nope, one more thing. So JD is this huge nerd and everyone makes fun of him for not getting any. (Carla: "Wanna do it on JD's bed?" Turk: "I think it's about time someone did.") But he gets a lot of action and normally from really hot women- Tara Reid, Julianna Marguiles, Christa Miller, Amy Smart, Sarah Lancaster and of course Elliot (another girl doctor on the show). Just thought it was funny.
