Coolest Thing EVER!!
OMFG. SO. Last night, I'm watching Stella w/Danny & a whole other cast of shady characters and there's this scene where they're in an airport. And it's like just ramps and a few levels and stuff and I'm like WHAT airport looks like that?!?!? Then I'm like hmm... so I lean in a little closer and it's like oh... wait... that looks like Columbia... the stupid, annoying ramps in Lerner. And it totally was. I mean sure, Hitch, Porn n' Chicken, Mona Lisa Smile, Spiderman (1 & 2), etc. were filmed there and that was exciting, but this is STELLA. I mean, Michael Ian Black set foot on the place where I get my mail. Plus everyone was there at my moment of realization and it was just awesome.

'Tis the season for Columbia in tv shows! A fair amount of Law & Order SVU's involve Columbia students, and yet for some reason they never film on campus. Cept FINALLY when there's a "Hanford" student (episode: "Honor"), they go film it at Columbia. It was your typical gratuitous Low Steps & library shots w/the occasional Butler. Maybe that's why I was so excited about the Stella thing, you rarely get to see the inside of the buildings. Except 309 Havemeyer (where I actually once had a class) in Mona Lisa Smile wasn't that exciting... But anyways, I <3 having my school in movies/shows. It's very exciting.
