I haven’t updated for a very long while. Let’s see. I’ve just been lazier than heck lately. I got some bad blisters so laid off the 1/2 marathon training for a few days and now I just can’t seem to make myself get back into the grove. And I’ve only got two weeks so it’s really not the best time to become the laziest person in the universe. Swanie is of course traning like mad so I'm sure I'll be the weakest link. I really don't mind walking alone.
I pulled a bunch of stuff for the yard sale. Hope my car is big enough. I have a lot of crap around that I never use but never give away either. Lots of it’s going.
My sister’s been calling lots lately. She is just totally insane. I seem to be the only one who’ll say it but she’s off her rocker. Oh they all agree with me but I get the “well that’s how she is” crap. LAME - why can’t they just say she’s bonkers? Some of her “fears”. Mom’s going to throw up so much from the chemo that she’ll hit her head on the side of the toilet and drown. Mom says she’s gained weight from the chemo so she’ll go back to eating “all that food with no fat which isn’t good for you because your body needs fat. That’s why she never looses weight is because she eats all that nonfat stuff.” She also doesn’t “do” the post office which I have finally figured out means she will not mail anything, her hubbo has to do it. And of course online banking leads to identity theft. Oh and a personal favorite - don’t turn your car on with the radio still on. I’ve never been able to get a clear answer on what will happen if you do but just don’t. I didn’t talk to her for like 10 years because she just makes me bonkers. It bothered everyone else but it really didn’t bother me at all. It was very nice and calm. I may need to revert back to that.
I’ve made much progress on the reunion front. Class of 83 (the one before me) didn’t’ get anything set for this summer which would be their 25th. From what I can figure out the gal who had done the first 4 clearly stated at the last one that she was done. Someone else was going to have to do it. Well of course no one bothered. Except they got all cranky at the gal because she wasn’t doing it. So bottom line it’s August and nothing got planned. So one of the guys in their class called me and asked if they could maybe piggy back a couple of events when we have ours next summer. I said hey we’ve got a huge venue booked let’s just combine em. I had actually thought of offering this up when the whole why isn’t so and so planning it stuff came up but I didn’t want to really enter the melee. So any who, Jim, from the other class is going to coordinate getting the word out to his class and I’ll still deal with ours. He’s also got some great ideas for other activities etc. And he lives in town which is very helpful. There's also a lot of crossover between classes, there are at least 10-15 siblings in one or the other and quite a few couples so that'll help.

I sent out about 75 post cards yesterday for the addresses I had from the last go round so hopefully people will start checking in. I have to keep the yearbooks handy because half the time I can’t remember who people are without a photo. I really am getting senile.
