I'm thankful it wasn't cold enough to make this Nor'Easter' a blizzard.  I'm never in a rush to go home, so I planned on leaving this morning.  The wind was howling in our house's chimney so loud it sounded like sirens. Kinda freaky. I'm not really a fan of staying in the house alone, but I don't like being in my family's house either.  It's not the family part that bugs me, it's the house itself. Makes me go nuts, and my allergies get out of control. It's like the Amityville Horror only instead of freaking out and killing people I get moody and congested.  Goochland Horror...get me outta here or I'll be possessed with the county spirits to go off 4 wheelin in the woods and join the NRA.
AND my laptop, my means of contact with the outside world, has abandoned me to the awkward silence in the house and the last few weeks of school. It cut off the other night and hasn't rebooted, so I am left to do my papers and everything the old fashioned way- pen, paper, library, and school computer lab.  My stepdad and brother might be be able to help me, but being without internet is no picnic. I already watched one of the movies I brought with me and vacuumed the house, so I am now at the Goochland Library (if you can call it that).

Complaints aside (sorry, I swear the house makes me grouchy) I am looking forward to Thanksgiving. I made my Moroccan eggplant salad last night, and I get to see lots of family and my best friend.  Then I have to at least make it to Saturday. For now, my five page paper on Edward Hopper will occupy my thoughts.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
