Well, we made it through the first week of school. Dylan does really well going to day care--so far--and likes the student who cares for him while I'm in class. I feel good about her too and feel comfortable leaving him there for 3 hours. :)
Classes are insane, there is SO much reading, I litterally had to read over 200 pages in the last week! I'm doing homework almost every chance I get. and I'm happy to say that I'm on top of it for the most part, what worries me is that I'm nervous about being on top of it after only the first week!
CLASS RANKS:*
The hardest class: Anatomy of Speech and Hearing
The easiest class: Writing for the Health PRofessional
The coolest class: Phonetics!
The other class: Intro to Speech Language Pathology
*subject to change
We're supposed to go to a wedding next weekend (I know! ANOTHER ONE!) and Jupe's a groomsman so we have to be there Friday morning! That means leaving on Thursday night--can't leave before that, I have 2 exams that day. It also means missing Friday's classes, they happen to be the "other" class and the "coolest" class from above. I'm thinking of not going. There's just SO much covered I'm scared to miss! Plus then I'll miss out on homework time, which I will likely miss out on if I go or not because Jupe won't be here to help with Dylan. And then of course there's the messing with DYlan's routine thing, which I HATE to do, especially when I really need him to take a nap and get to bed when he usually does--it works perfectly for my schedule!
To add to the not wanting to go factor, Jupe says we can't afford a hotel so we have to stay at his Dad's place in Pacifica. Okay, but his brother also lives there and there's only 2 beds. His dad has a King, but his mom will be there for the wedding and I doubt they'll give up the bed. HIs brother can sleep on the couch, and I have no qualms about telling him so, but it's a full. NOT big enough for 2 adults and a toddler..esp when one of the adults is pregnant and uncomfortable all the time in the first place! ARG! So jupe says.."well, you and Dylan can have the bed to yourselves then." meaning he'll sleep on the couch too. wtf ever. Seems like too much of a hassle. What do you guys think?
Anyway, I'll be trying to check in on the weekends at least, but there's not a WHOLE lot of time during the week. :)
