Happy New Year!
First post of 2009! Woo!
I spent the last hours of '08 (and the first couple of '09) in Naxx with my guild. It was the first time I'd been in the level 80 version, and I'd only been to the first boss in the spider wing in the 60 version. We steamrolled through ELEVEN bosses with only three wipes (one of which was a fluke in the room with the floaty weapons, not even a boss) and I got FOUR upgrades! We one-shot the Four Horsemen! Now, I know they're a faint echo of their old, 40-man selves, but it still felt awesome to pwn them so easily.
I got a new necklace, cape, sword and offhand. Add those to my T7 gloves and the epic robe I bought on the AH, and I'm doing pretty well in getting myself geared up. The only greens I have left are my bracers, one ring, and one of the two wands I switch around depending on the situation. I'm still using the level 70 badge ring and the Eye of Magtheridon trinket, but otherwise I've replaced all my TBC gear.
We're going to attempt to clear the rest of Naxx tonight but unless we can find a DK or a frost mage to handle the adds for Gluth, I may have to *shudder* respec to frost for the night. We attempted the fight last night but it was way, way too messy without the right classes to keep the adds away from the boss.
