Gruul and Obsidia
Last night my guild FINALLY managed to kill Gruul the Dragonslayer!!! WOOHOO!!! In fact, we did it on our first attempt of the night! I even lived to see him fall! It was so freaking awesome! :D
Two rogues got their T4 legs, a healing druid got a hat, and I can't for the life of me remember what the other drop was, but it wasn't mage loot so I didn't care. ;)
So, that was fantastic. ^_^
In other WoW news...I just submitted a transfer request to move Obsidia from Shadow Council to Stormrage. It's something I've been thinking about for a long time, and I'm honestly not sure what made me decide to do it today. I guess, I just logged onto her to check her mail (there wasn't any) and looked in her bags to see the leftover stuff from Brewfest there. BREWFEST! Meaning I haven't done anything with her besides hang around the mailbox in IF since October. >_< It's a waste of a character that I enjoy playing but never seem to.
I really think I'll play her a LOT more if she's on the same server as Skarlette and my guild. Besides, the vast majority of my guildies have multiple characters in their 60s, if not 70, and I'm starting to feel a little left out with only one. :-p
I've been leveling Tinneleva (dwarf hunter, now in her low 50s) and Starlette (the new NE rogue I made back in December who just dinged 50 last night) but I really like the warlock class, too, and my lock alt on Stormrage is a 26 gnome that I'm not all that fond of. She's become more of a bank alt than anything. I'm not sure why I don't care about her that much. Some of it might be her appearance. Part of it is the visual issue of having a little gnome and a giant voidwalker on the screen...it's really hard to get a camera angle that's comfortable that isn't covered by blue blob. :-p If I hadn't invested so much gold and time leveling her enchanting, I'd just delete her. I may transfer her to another server sometime down the road when I need the slot for a Death Knight, but for now she can stay as a disenchanting bank alt. >_<
Anyway, so Obsidia is currently in limbo between servers. I sent little notes to the three guild officers who made an impression on me, explaining why I was leaving and wishing them the best. I also sent 125g to my little Draenei priestess, Ellarcha, so she won't be broke without Obsidia's help. ;) Otherwise, there's really nothing keeping me there. I have lots of Horde characters on Shadow Council but don't do much Alliance-side.
As for the RP aspect of things, 90% of the roleplaying I do with Obsidia...heck, with any of my characters...is done by myself, wisecracking to NPCs and my own pets/minions, staging screenshots, talking to myself, etc. I can do that anywhere. ;) So transferring from a PVE-RP to a plain PVE server won't really change anything as far as that goes.
The main downside is that someone has the name "Obsidia" on Stormrage already, a Horde character less than level 10, as near as I can figure out. I'm going to try for Obsydia, but if that doesn't work I'll have to get more creative.
