I picked up book one (Game of Thrones) at the library after hearing this series highly recommended by a couple people online who have similar tastes to mine, and as an example of fantasy world-building done right.
I read about 130 pages today, and I'm liking it a lot. I know some of you folks on my friendslist have read this series but I can't remember who.
