Stuff and screenshots
It was a gorgeous day today so my mom and I went shopping. We mainly hit the thrift stores looking for second-hand bargains but we also stopped at the pet store for aquarium supplies, and Wal-Mart for boring essentials. Both of us combined spent less than $2.00 at the Salvation Army store. ;)
We had lunch at A&W and it was excellent. It was a nice mother/daughter outing, something we hadn't had in ages. Didn't spend a lot of money or do anything exciting, but it was really nice. ^_^
When we got back I logged onto WoW and got invited to the Shattered Halls. I've attempted that place with less-than-ideal groups in the past and it's been a trainwreck, but this time I was with a great group, mainly folks I regularly run Karazhan with, and I only died once during an AOE pull. We got all the bosses down, the last two of whom I'd never even seen before. I didn't realize that Kargath Bladefist himself was the final boss there! Woot, lore goodies!
After that we had supper--cheese hotdogs, chips and watermelon, like an indoor picnic! I washed my hair and then proceeded to upload a bunch of new screenshots to my WoW gallery. More on that in a second.
I should also give an update on my fishies. Oliver and Jazzy are both fine, as are all three of my goldfish. Mellie's got a dead scale that hasn't dropped off yet that looks pretty ugly, sort of like a scab, but it's just a minor thing and I'm sure she can't even feel it. She's been really healthy lately, thank God.
Pansy, the kitchen counter betta, is still sick. I don't even want to think the D-word (dropsy) because it's just about the worst diagnosis, but it's beginning to look like it. She nibbles one flake every day or two but otherwise isn't eating. She gets up and swims around some, but mostly just sits in one of her favorite spots. I'm continuing to treat her with medicine and to offer her bits of food, but I must admit my optimism isn't very high.
I don't get as attached to my bettas as I do to my goldfish, partly because they have such short lifespans, partly because they're so tiny, and partly because they're not quite as affectionate/friendly as goldfish. But I still feel really bad to think I'll lose Pansy. :\ I just hope if this is her time that she doesn't have to linger a long time. She's been sick a couple weeks already.

My screenshot gallery has been updated with new pics in the galleries for: Ariadnie, Eitak, Ellarcha, Obsidia, Tinneleva, Vacanahwe and Villeshari. No new ones of Skarlette this time, although I have plenty. I haven't gotten around to uploading the ones from the level 1 Tauren stampede from a couple weeks ago, either. In the meantime, though, enjoy Eitak pushing shrooms on an orphan and amusing adventures with Villeshari in the Ghostlands, among others. The most new pictures are in Obsidia's gallery, however. She meets some relatives in the Burning Steppes and Searing Gorge, attempts to pay her brother a visit in UBRS, and tries to trade her nephew for a Dreadsteed. ^_^
