Stuff
Yesterday (well, day before yesterday now, as it's after midnight, but whatever) I went shopping with Mom and Aunt Rosie. We went to all the thrift stores, second-hand stores and that sort of thing. Savers, GoodWill, Salvation Army, etc. Picked up lots of crap for cheap. ;) I got another adorable plushie snowman for $2.00, a handful of Dutch postcards for 5 cents apiece, and a pair of very cute little glass goldfish. And a bunch of wrapping paper from Goodwill, as believe it or not we're actually getting low. Never thought that would happen! The last few years I've been buying some paper for myself, instead of using the communal family supply. It's something different and fun.
After we got back home, we spent some of the evening wrapping presents. I got everything for my dad and Nama, and most of the cousins' gifts. I'm done shopping except for Rosie's main gift, and most of Mom's stuff. Otherwise, assuming the couple of mail-order things come in time, I'm through with shopping.
I stayed up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too late last night playing Sutek's Tomb on Neopets. The good news, I shattered my previous high score with an insane 48,243! O_O Took me over an hour! The bad news is, the @#$%^@$* site wouldn't accept my score. *weeps* Oh well, I know I got it, anyway. :-p
Then, this morning, I actually got up in time for church, something I haven't done in a month or so.
After brunch I tried reading for awhile but I was so tired I couldn't stay awake, so I took a two-hour nap. >_< That helped, but what a waste of an afternoon.
Mom made Ketz potatoes (friend-of-the-family's recipe) for supper, which is usually just something we make for Christmas Eve. So that was a treat.
Then I spent the evening ditzing around with Zoo Tycoon and Neopets, and other boring things like that.
And now it's time to go to bed again. Woo, my life is exciting. ;)
I work the next two days, then have Wed/Thur/Fri off, and work all weekend. The history project is due on the 18th. Eep.
Oh, and my fish got scrambled eggs yesterday and today for supper. ^_^ Always a red-letter day for them. Silly greedy carp. I also realized tonight that Fergie's been with us for a month now, as of this weekend. Wow, it seems like longer than that. She's doing so well, and she gets along so well with Benny and Sammy, that it seems like she's been here forever. ;) And wow, is she growing! O_O Both she and Benny are just scary. LOL!
Okay, enough fish talk. Off to bed with me.
