Weird dream number one, yesterday morning shortly before waking up:
I was hanging out at my old high school during lunch break, but there were all these commercial kiosks for food and gifts that aren't there in RL. I was in a big hurry because I had so little time over lunch break, but the lines were really long and everything was obnoxiously crowded. I was jostling my way to one counter to look at some Disney collectibles. There were two extremely cool Don Karnage figurines I don't have, and I was trying to get through the crowd to the cash register to ask the clerk to open the glass case for me. Suddenly Agent Smith was there trying to stop me. And none of the HS kids gave him a second look, despite him standing out like a sore thumb. I was like, "What are you doing?" He said he was there to check on me, and that it wasn't safe for me to be buying anything from this kiosk. I told him to mind his own business. XD I was still arguing with him over whether I was allowed to shop there when I woke up. o_0 LOL!
Weird dream number two, last night:
I was in the Twin Cities at some huge arena similar to the Target Center but, like, not. I was there with my parents and one male friend and one female friend, neither of whom exist in RL. I have no idea who they were. But in my dream we were friends. Okay... We were there for a new movie that was an update of Titanic, but with Jack Sparrow in it. WHAT the--? LMAO! My parents sat in a different section, below where my two mystery friends and I were sitting. It was this huge auditorium/stadium thing, and it was packed with thousands of people. The movie screen was hanging up like the scoreboard screen at a sporting event. There was this big, fancy presentation for the movie premiere, with some guy in a suit welcoming us, and congratulating us for being part of this historic event. They showed a little clip from the movie, which as you can imagine was completely, perhaps unintentionally, hilarious. Jack Sparrow. On the Titanic. Treating Rose and her Jack like he treated Elizabeth and Will. XD
After the clip they had another flashy presentation of some sort, and then, on a balcony on the far end of the auditorium, they introduced two very special guests...John Kerry and George W. Bush. o_0 They started wandering through the aisles shaking hands, with not a Secret Service guy in sight! O_O Unfortunately Kerry went to the side of the stadium opposite where I was sitting, and Dubya came right by my section. My nameless female friend took a pencil and was making stabbing motions in his direction, laughing, and I was telling her to stop it because even though there weren't any visible security guys, I was sure they were around somewhere. Dubya walked right past us, probably sensing that we weren't exactly fans. LOL!
There was more to the dream, something about me going to the gift shop and buying a really cheap video game, and some people from Neopets giving out codes for exclusive petpetpets, and some guy behind me puking, but I don't remember the details. I never did get to see the actual movie. :-p
My subconscious is a scary place. And apparently, at least this week, ruled by my fangirl obsessions. Don Karnage, Agent Smith and Jack Sparrow all making guest appearances in my dreams? Not going to complain! XD Even if Smith was only there to impede my shopping. :-p LOL!
In other news, Deb got that goldfish out of her pond and got better pictures of it for me. She's pretty but didn't knock my socks off, and she has matte scales, which sort of gross me out. They're the kind where you can see layers in the skin and scales and sometimes even shadows of internal organs. >_< I like metallic scales. I really don't want to be picky, but I only have room for one fish and they're such a huge part of the room, the house, and the family, that I want to make sure Sammy's new tankmate is really what I want. Deb's a sweetheart and understand that, so she's going to keep looking for me. So the search for Sammy's Bachelorette #2 continues. :\
Admittedly part of the problem is the fresh grief for Jackie. There will never be another Jackie, and there is no true replacement for her. She was the most friendly, alert, huge ;) and marvellous fish a fish mommy could hope for. I can't expect to find another one of her caliber. But I still want the second-best friend for Sammy. So I'll keep looking.
