I was Googling for some of my novel's characters' names, and I found a few funny things. It's sort of like vanity searching, but I'm not using my own name. ;)
1. There's a
http://www.xorax.com , but it's in German and I have no idea what it's about. (Kayleen? Any clues?) The hilarious thing is, my character profile webpage is the #1 result for "Xorax" on Google, and this page is on the second page of results! XD
2.
Here's some student parody about how the U.S. government was using a giant robot named "Xorax" to attack Iraq. LMAO! The best part is: "God bless that robot. He has cast out the infidels among us and brought us the hamburger, the mini mall and the SUV. All hail Xorax!"
You heard that, everybody! All hail me!
I hate my life.
3. According to
this page, Xorax is Swedish! Who knew? o_0 ROTFLMAO!!!!!
4.
Or is he a Turkish Gypsy? 5. Or...LMAO...
a SMURF???
6. Judging by many of the links that came up, Xorax is also possibly Russian.
None of the above! I'm Vincaran! Geez, people.
I wouldn't brag about being from Vincaria, though, since that's also the name of a
South American herb used in hermmorhoid treatment! LMAO!!!!
It also pops up in
Portugese verb conjugations. Lanaria fares better, but it is a family of flowers.
Lanaria Way is a street in San Mateo County, California.
Alternatively, "Bronzar" is apparently "to get suntanned" in
Interlingua, a constructed language similar to, but less widespread than, Esperanto.
Someone with his name also appears in
this obscure fanfic to a show/movie/book/whatever that I've never heard of.
On the other hand, Vazali's father Xeres is apparently a
cocktail! LMAO!
He gets off easy, though...his wife Vizada is a
HORSE! Vazali's sister, Kazaneta, only appears on my site, and her name pops up in the transliteration of a song from the anime
Saint Seiya. o_0
Minalla is apparently a real name. Who knew?
